Below is the excerpt from his interview with Vibe Magazine.
Is Young Money a part of the creative process on this album? Nah. I tend to distance myself from them.
Are you trying to break out on your own? Yeah, I’m tryna’ go independent. I don’t really get along with Drake. I don’t really get along with Nicki.
Why? I don’t like Drake as a person. He’s just fake to me. I like his music; you know what I’m saying? I think his music is good, but we’re all different people. We were forced together and it was kinda’ like we were forcing relationships together. It is what it is. But I been friends with Chris [Brown] for like six years. That’s my real genuine friend. We hang out all the time. He lives up the street from me, so we don’t just do music we hang. I think being signed to Young Money, everybody felt like they had to force a relationship ‘cause Wayne put us together. At the end of the day the reason why I signed to Young Money is because of Wayne. Not because of Drake, not because of Nicki. It was because of Wayne and my relationship with him. I try to be cool with everybody, but sometimes, everybody just has different personalities, motives, and different characters. When you realize that, you realize that’s not a place where you want to continue to grow.
Hold the fuck up Tyga, who do you think you are? You are just going to stand there and try and say that Chris Auto-tune I beat women Brown is more talented than Drake? Sit your ass down! Tyga just because you’ve recently been in the news for having a better hairline and for allegedly dating Kylie Jenner, that doesn’t mean shit! You can’t just start popping off about how you are better than Young Money and that you hate Nicki and Drake, two of Young Money’s biggest artists.
Now let’s be honest, I am not too familiar with Tyga’s music, I know “Far Away” and I know “Rack City”, just really those two songs. I have heard him featured on a few different songs but those two are mainly him. So I am just sitting here wondering why he is going off like this. Is he trying to start some shit? Maybe. Maybe this is his way of trying to be the king of rap? I really don’t understand. Why throw them under the bus when you could record with them and become even more famous? Unless he is in it for the “art” not for the money, which no one is by the way. If anyone says that they are just lying. Money talks.
