Tori Kelly Looks Stunning In Green On The GRAMMYs Red Carpet

I haven’t seen too many people yet but I believe that Tori Kelly has one of the best looks of the night. My god she looks gorgeous. The dress fits her perfectly, her hair looks perfect, and I love the green with her skin tone.

Tonight could potentially be a huge night for Tori, she is nominated for best new artist, and she performing. Tori started off on ‘American Idol’ where Simon Cowell called her annoying, now she is walking the red carpet at the GRAMMYs and she nominated. Dreams really do come true if you work hard enough! Remember that!

Who Is Performing At The 2016 Grammys?

Now that the Super Bowl is over we can finally focus on what really matters, award season. The Grammy’s have a stacked line up of performers and looks like it wont disappoint!

All of the performers that have been announces so far are Taylor Swift, Rihanna, Justin Bieber, Diplo, Skrillex, Chris Stapleton, Bonnie Raitt, Gary Clark Jr., Pitbull, Robin Thicke, Travis Barker and the Hollywood Vampires (Alice Cooper, Johnny Depp and Joe Perry), Adele, James Bay, Andra Day, Ellie Goulding, the Broadway cast of Hamilton, Sam Hunt, Tori Kelly, Lady Gaga (performing a David Bowie tribute), Kendrick Lamar, Little Big Town, Carrie Underwood and The Weeknd.

That is a serious line up. I can’t lie I am very excited for Tori Kelly, Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwod and of course Adele’s performances. I am most excited for Bonnie Raitt though, ‘Can’t Make You Love Me’ is one of my all time favorite songs.

Who are you excited to see?

Last night (January 12th, 2016) Tori Kelly put on a free secret show in Nashville and brought out Little Big Town’s Karen Fairchild for a duet of “Girl Crush”. After the diet Karen took to Instagram to post a picture of the two with the caption “This girl. Unbelievable talent! She is the real deal. So blown away by her!”

Check out the video below and watch both Tori and Karen blow away the audience with their duet.

Tori Kelly Covers ‘Seventeen’ Magazine

Tori Kelly  is an artist that the whole world has been sleeping on for far too long. She has more talent in her left pinky than most of the female singers out there today. She plays guitar, writers her own music, and has a voice. She doesn’t need any type of autotune or anything to make her voice sound good. She has talent, actual talent, which is something that she should be truly praised for.

In the February issue of Seventeen magazine she opens up about not making it through the auditions of ‘American Idol’, her friendship with Ed Sheeran, and being told she is too vanilla.

On Simon Cowell deeming her voice “almost annoying” and being ousted before semifinals on American Idol: “Deep down, I knew I was good, and I knew I could do it. I needed to get knocked down and to build up a thick skin. Who knows what I would have been singing about otherwise? You have to go through things in order to inspire others with your story.”

On whether she and Ed Sheeran are more than friends: “I knew that was coming, but no. Working with him was a really cool experience because I was a fan and I didn’t know how it would go, but right away he made it super-chill. Ever since then, he’s been someone I consider a friend and even a mentor.”

On dealing with her manager saying she was boring: “He told me, ‘People are saying you are vanilla and that you have nothing to say.’ I was like, Whoa. I remembered record-label guys telling me I was really reserved when I was younger. Like, ‘Wake up, you should be bubbly and happy!’ And I was thinking, But this is my personality; I’m just chilling. So I went right back to being that little girl who was just so freaked out. I acted as if I didn’t care, but I went home that night and just poured all the feelings that I was holding back into my music. That’s how ‘Unbreakable Smile’ came to be.”
Considering Tori is only 23 and she tried out when Simon was a judge she must have been very young, at least she took it as a moment to learn from rather than back down from. Everyone gets a few nos before they finally get the yes that they needed.

Watch Tori Kelly Slay ‘Silent Night’

I know what you are all probably thinking. Are you going to continue to constantly post about Tori Kelly and the answer is yes. I genuinely think that Tori has one of the best voices we have heard in a while, she also writes her own stuff, so that is amazing.

Truth is that I am not a fan of Christmas songs. I worked in retail through five long holiday seasons and they have never done it for me. Of course you have to single to ‘Jinglebell Rock’ but I don’t need to smile as I do. ‘Silent Night’ is a beautiful song though, can we all agree with that? It is so beautifully written but some people suck at covering it. In my opinion though, Tori crushed it, like she does with everything.

Tori worked hard to get to where she currently is and I have to appreciate that about her.

So check out the video below and be sure to like the Facebook page!

Seriously, listen, let Tori bless you with her talent.

Happy 23rd Birthday Tori Kelly!

Have you ever realized that a celebrity that you really like is younger than you and you kind of feel bad about yourself? Yup, just had that moment when I realized that Tori Kelly  is only 23!

She is seriously so talented I really thought that she had more years on her, nope just that talented.

Happy birthday to someone who I think will be around for a long time to come. I also am rooting for her to bring home the Grammy for best new artist! That’s all.

Also if you haven’t bought her album yet, I highly recommend it.

58th GRAMMY Award Nominations Have Been Revealed!

grammy noms 640

Can you smell it? It smells like awards season is in the air and I couldn’t be happier about it! I thrive during award season! There is nothing like watching all of these celebrities pretend to smile when they lose awards, that is the best. I love when they stand up and actually cheer for the other person too!

The GRAMMYS are one of the best shows of the year, sometimes. It is the party before the Oscars because those are so boring, when it happens check your Facebook newsfeeds and everyone will talk about how boring it is. Then you have to let them know it has always been boring.

I have done this the past two years so here come my GRAMMY preditions! Fun fact, I am awful at this. For someone who follows entertianment the way that I do you would think I would be better, but I am just not.

Now you have to remember there are always dark horses because people who win at voted by the academy of music or something like that. It isn’t about record sales, remember that Kanye so you don’t rush the stage again.

So here we go, the bold is who I think should win and italics is who will probably win. I know technically that is two predictions but I don’t care!

Also before anyone freaks out about Adele not being nominated, she didn’t make the September 30th deadline. She will be nominated in 2017, I promise.

Album Of The Year:

Sound & Color — Alabama Shakes

To Pimp A Butterfly — Kendrick Lamar

Traveller — Chris Stapleton

1989 — Taylor Swift

Beauty Behind The Madness — The Weeknd

Now listen, I wasnt a bit fan of this album but it is truly an incredible feat for Taylor. She made the complete transformation from country to pop artist so effortlessly and I think that she truly deserves this win.

Record Of The Year:

“Really Love” — D’Angelo And The Vanguard

“Uptown Funk” — Mark Ronson Featuring Bruno Mars

“Thinking Out Loud” — Ed Sheeran

“Blank Space” — Taylor Swift

“Can’t Feel My Face” — The Weeknd

Although I think that Bruno Mars desrves this win I genuinely believe that Ed Sheeran will win. Bruno of course is doing something different though, he and Mark Ronson put out one of the hottest songs of the year. The throwback to funk music was incredible, people don’t usually do things like that anymore. They like to stay in their box. Ed’s song was so beautiful though, I mean I feel like it has to win.

Song Of The Year:

“Alright” — Kendrick Duckworth, Mark Anthony Spears & Pharrell Williams, songwriters (Kendrick Lamar)

“Blank Space” — Max Martin, Shellback & Taylor Swift, songwriters (Taylor Swift)

“Girl Crush” — Hillary Lindsey, Lori McKenna & Liz Rose, songwriters (Little Big Town)

“See You Again” — Andrew Cedar, Justin Franks, Charles Puth & Cameron Thomaz, songwriters (Wiz Khalifa Featuring Charlie Puth)

“Thinking Out Loud” — Ed Sheeran & Amy Wadge, songwriters (Ed Sheeran)

Kendrick has always been a favorite at the GRAMMYS and I genuinely believe that he will win this category. The song “Alright” is easily one of the most powerful songs of the year. Again this is how it is written, this is the award for the song writers. Kendrick deserves this award due to his social realism and his incredible lyrics.

Best New Artist:

Courtney Barnett

James Bay

Sam Hunt

Tori Kelly

Meghan Trainor

I am ahuge Tori Kelly fan and I think that she absolutely deserves this award. She is an incredible songwriter, singer, and performer. I swear when she performs she demands attention and she gets your attention. I mean she stole the VMAs with her performance. The people who win this award are always obscure though, that is why I am guessing James Bay will win.

Best Pop Duo/Group Performance:

“Ship To Wreck” — Florence + The Machine

“Sugar” — Maroon 5

“Uptown Funk” — Mark Ronson Featuring Bruno Mars

“Bad Blood” — Taylor Swift Featuring Kendrick Lamar

“See You Again” — Wiz Khalifa Featuring Charlie Puth

Honestly, as long as Maroon 5 doesn’t win I will be happy. I would love to see Mark and Bruno pull out the win but I think that we will see Wiz and Charlie up there accepting the award.

Best Dance Recording:

“We’re All We Need” — Above & Beyond Featuring Zoë Johnston

“Go” — The Chemical Brothers

“Never Catch Me” — Flying Lotus Featuring Kendrick Lamar

“Runaway (U & I)” — Galantis

“Where Are Ü Now” — Skrillex And Diplo With Justin Bieber

I don’t want Bieber to win but then again I am not sure if Kendrick will be able to take this home. The other songs I am not even sure of. So honestly, anyone could win this and I probably wouldn’t care.

Best Rock Performance:

“Don’t Wanna Fight” — Alabama Shakes

“What Kind Of Man” — Florence + The Machine

“Something From Nothing” — Foo Fighters

“Ex’s & Oh’s” — Elle King

“Moaning Lisa Smile” — Wolf Alice

Critics love Alabama Shakes, which is why I would assume that they are going to win. Florance is an incredible singer though so I hope that she can pull out a win. Like I said before though, critics love Alabama Shakes.

Best Alternative Music Album:

Sound & Color — Alabama Shakes

Vulnicura — Björk

The Waterfall — My Morning Jacket

Currents — Tame Impala

Star Wars — Wilco

Alabama Shakes again, I dont really know the other artists. My Morning Jacket is great but again, I can’t see them beating Alabama Shakes.

Best Urban Contemporary Album:

Ego Death — The Internet

You Should Be Here — Kehlani

Blood — Lianne La Havas

Wildheart  — Miguel

Beauty Behind The Madness — The Weeknd

Although I woud love to see The Weeknd win big here, I think that Miguel will take it. His music is so good, his lyrics are so smooth, and I think that he has what it takes. Hopefully he doesn’t jump over the stage and nearly decapitate a girl when he wins though.

Best Rap Album:

2014 Forest Hills Drive — J. Cole

Compton — Dr. Dre

If Youre Reading This Its Too Late — Drake

To Pimp A Butterfly — Kendrick Lamar

The Pinkprint — Nicki Minaj

If J. Cole doesn’t win I am going to riot, that is all that there is to know. J. Cole is one of the most gifted artists of our time. If he doesn’t win I will write a strongly worded blog directed to the GRAMMYS!

Best Country Album:

Montevallo — Sam Hunt

Pain Killer — Little Big Town

The Blade — Ashley Monroe

Pageant Material — Kacey Musgraves

Traveller — Chris Stapleton

Although I think that it has been Sam Hunt’s year the music industry is really pushing Chris Stapleton down our throats. Don’t get me wrong I think he is incredible! I think that he is great and honestly when it come sto music he is potentially a step ahead of Sam Hunt. I know I said before that this awards show isn’t based on fan popularity which is why I am saying that Chris is going to take it home.

So those are the predictions that I have come up with! Yes there are more categories than the ones that I posted but I didn’t know any of the artists!

Let me know what you guys think here!

Tori Kelly Announces She Is The New Face Of William Rast’s Fall ’15 Line!

If you’re confused as to why I used a picture of Justin Timberlake it is because William Rast is a clothing company that was founded by Justin Timberlake and his best buddy Trace way back in 2006. Now they don’t have a huge name but they were known for having awesome jeans. I have never owned a pair because they are expensive, but that is what I read.

If you follow my blog you know how much I love Tori Kelly and how badly I want her to run the entertainment world. If you don’t follow my blog, welcome, it is a real love fest for Tori.

Anyway, I hope to see big things coming from Tori and I know that we will. She is actually talented and now has JT supporting her, that’s all that matters.

She also made her announcement with the video posted below.

Watch Tori Kelly Slay Covers Of Whitney Houston, Beyonce, and Justin Bieber

My love for Tori Kelly is getting stronger each and every day. This girl can serious sing and that is nice to see. She is someone who actually uses her voice to sing good songs, rather than absolute shit songs. There are few artists who do that now. I just hope and pray that she doesn’t sell out to that crowd.

Anyway, she was on a radio station out in England and she absolutely crushed covers of Whitney, Beyonce, and Bieber. I mean it takes some serious balls to take on some of the greats. I will say I appreciate her not trying too hard when it came to the Whitney song because no one can sing Whitney.

Tori Kelly is the next superstar and I can’t wait to see her up there accepting a Grammy some day. I also hope I didn’t just jinx her entire career.

Tori Kelly Is The Next Superstar!

When Tori Kelly is out there selling out giant stadiums you remember who told you it was going to happen before anyone else, okay? Celebrities are Tragic called this on September 2nd, 2015. Remember this date because I promise you, Tori Kelly is the next big thing.

For a while I was trying to figure out if she could do more than just sing behind a screen. I know, harsh. She got famous from Youtube and sometimes those performers don’t have stage presence. Well Tori has a ton of presence on stage and she fucking slayed the VMA stage the other night. I mean no other performers even compared to her. I think that I am allowed to say that. Well Demi was up there too, but that is Demi, her voice is bananas too.

Tori Kelly though, let’s talk more about her. Number one she has one of the best voices I have heard in a while. I mean serious so much power, incredible tone, all of it was magical. Number two she is beautiful. Seriously stunning. Number three, I assume she is going to keep on cranking out hit after hit? I do hope she doesn’t rise too fast because that means she could fall. The only person who rose insanely fast and never fell was T.Swift, I don’t want to put that much pressure on my girl Tori though.

Check out her performance and let me know if you agree with me here.
