In case you didn’t know MTV’s ‘The Challenge’ came back last week and the super twist is that former champions will be coming back to face underdogs. Honestly, all that I care about is that CT will soon be on our screen again. He is of course the bad boy from Boston, but it seems as though he has turned over a new leaf.
He of course fell in love with fellow competitor Diem Brown who passed away a year ago, and he said he was done with the challenges. That was until he had a son. That’s right, CT is now a certified DILF. In his own words he said that he wanted to show his son that he has changed a bit.
So from being the bad ass from Boston to becoming a bit of a sweetheart of ‘The Challenge’. He has blue eyes, he is a bit of a bad boy, and abs that don’t quit, so yeah, there’s that.
I am really rooting for him this season, hopefully he can pull out the win!

Know what one of my favorite television shows is? ‘The Challenge‘, it is by far one of the most entertaining shows that MTV has ever put together, and it is simply perfect. What’s better than putting seven strangers in a house? Putting about 24 people in a house that only slightly know each other (for the most part) adding alcohol, then having them do different challenges, to stay in the house. It is absolute gold.
Know who the golden child of ‘The Challenge’ is? Johnny Bananas. Someone who had to grow on me for a few years, but he has made a career out of being on challenges and kind of branding himself in a way. Not only does he appear on nearly every season of this show for the past ten or so years, he also has his own company that sells Banana Swag. He is a mini empire for sure.
In my opinion Johnny started off unlikable but over the years, he has become one of the best to do it. There is always a debate on whether Johnny or CT are better, and I am going to plead the fifth on that one. They are both incredible competitors.
With that, Johnny is my Man Crush Monday this week because he deserves it. Reality stars need love too. He is also a babe, so again, he deserves it.

Let’s be real, ‘The Challenge’ is basically all that the MTV has going for it. Other than the Teen Mom series, I really don’t think they have much else. Well, okay one last one, The Teen Wolf show everyone goes nuts about. That is is though.
Anyway, if you aren’t familiar with The Challenge they basically take past cast members from The Real World and Road Rules, well I just aged myself. No one from the Road Rules is on it anymore, not this season at least. They take people from The Real World and people from Are You The One, put them in a house and make them compete.
There is nothing like watching some people who you know can barely read, get drunk and fight, as well s try and play politics in the house. It is awesome.
Bananas & Sarah
Brandon & Briana
Cory & Ashley
Dario & Nicole
Devin & Cheyenne
Jamie & KellyAnne:
Johnny & Jessica
Leroy & Averey
Nathan & Christina
Thomas & Simone
Tony & Camila
Vince & Jenna
Wes & Nany
Those are the teams that are lined up. Last season Jamie and his cousin Cara Maria were able to come up with a big win.
My guess for the final three are
1.Bananas & Sarah
2. Nany & Wes
3. Leroy & Avery
Let me know your picks and if you are excited for this season since last season was an absolute bust!

Right around Thanksgiving, just after the news of Diem Brown passing away, Ryan Knight, better known as Knight also passed away. The way he died isn’t important, it is important to remember the way that he lived and how he will be remembered on MTV for the rest of eternity.
Knight was one of those cast members that a lot of people either loved or hated, he spoke his mind and wouldn’t take shit from anyone. Personally, I loved him. I loved that he wasn’t politically correct, I loved that he would stand up for what he believed in, I mostly loved that he was the one to smack Frank. For those of you who don’t remember it was during a reunion and a clip of Frank bashing Knight’s ex-girlfriend Jemmye, Knight stood right up and gave the dude a smack.
So last night was his final appearance ever on MTV which really breaks my heart. I feel as though Knight’s death wasn’t as talked about as Diem’s was which again isn’t fair in my opinion. Both of the players always played their hearts out and seemed to be good friends off of the show.
Seeing Knight sitting with Zach telling him to throw anyone in against him was a big thing for Knight to say. He was a competitor that was for sure. He may not have been the best, or went to a final, but he still gave it all that he had which showed true character.
There was a tweet that Cara Marie sent out after the passing of Knight which I will never forget. She said “his heart was bigger than his horns.” That was something that really stuck out to me. Although he was known for causing trouble he did have a great heart. Jemmye his ex-girlfriend also stated that she was going to end her MTV career (Challenge wise at least) now since she started it with Knight, she should end it with Knight.
After following his story closely on “Real World Back to New Orleans” and then seeing him on his many seasons of The Challenge, he will be missed. His raw humor, his honesty, and that gap tooth smile.
As I stated before in the piece about Diem Brown (its here if you are interested https://lagunabiotchcelebritea.wordpress.com/2015/01/21/remembering-diem-brown-on-the-night-of-her-final-episode-of-the-challenge/) you feel like you know these competitors. You watch them for years on your television and feel as though you see a real side of them. Watching these upcoming challenges without Diem and Knight will suck since they brought so much light to these challenges.
Knight I hope you have found your peace and those around you have as well. Thanks for all of the laughs.
“I’m realizing that no matter how organized your ducks are, life can change in two seconds, so you can’t keep on waiting. If you keep on waiting, it’s gone.”
“If you have a positive outlook on anything, you’re able to heal yourself, and I think that my mindset right now is really positive. I want to prove to myself that I’m strong and that I can do everything that anybody else can do.”
So tonight was the final episode of ‘The Challenge’ that Diem Brown will ever star in which hurts. Being an avid fan of the show for the past ten years or so it is so hard to say goodbye to a competitor like Diem. On the show she was one of the stronger female players and off the show, she had the fight of her life. She fought cancer for years and she absolutely did an incredible job doing it. She documented the whole thing just to show the world that there is living when it comes to living with cancer. Diem had always been so open about it for so long,
While watching this episode you can see the pain and the agony that is occurring to her body, but she is still there willing to compete. It is only when she can no longer stand up that she finally is taken to the hospital, then flown back to New York to start treatment immediately. One of the most interesting things that I noticed was that Avery, one of the rookies, was helping pack up her bags. Someone who had only known her for a few weeks felt so close to her that she wanted to help pack her things. (I don’t actually know how long they knew each other but I assume that it wasn’t very long).
While typing this there are tears in my eyes and people would probably make fun of me if they could see me. One thing that I can say is that I genuinely felt like I knew Diem, like how you feel like you know all of the regular cast members from The Challenge. After watching her on my television set for such a long time, following her story as a warrior, it is hard to not feel some sort of connection with her, even if you had never met her in real life.
I just wanted to say thank you Diem for sharing your story. For showing that living with cancer doesn’t need to be done in fear. Thank you for showing me that you can be fearless and that girls can look pretty badass with their heads buzzed. Diem Brown is a name that will not be forgotten any time soon due to her strength and courage for the world to see. Also thank you MTV for airing it all, that is what Diem would have wanted according to what everyone close to her had said.
Rest in beautiful peace Diem and thank you for sharing your story with the world. You will be truly missed.

Let me be honest when I say that when I first found out about Diem, I actually shed a tear or two. For the past ten years or however long Diem has been a known face on MTV due to her being on The Challenges over the past years. Recently cancer had taken over the young 32 year old’s body spreading from her stomach to her lymph-nodes and this past Thursday she decided to stop treatment.
I will say I wasn’t a huge fan of how Diem played the game, I thought that she relied to much on CT but when she wasn’t playing in The Challenge, I became a real fan. After reading her messages about feeling beautiful and being able to overcome everything it really made me respect Diem as a person. She had gone through so much in her life, beating ovarian cancer twice, that it is sad that she lost her fight. No, I won’t say that. Diem fought her ass off, she just decided to see what would happen. Sadly, Diem has passed away.
It is strange to say that I felt like I knew Diem as a person. I know that most reality shows are fake but there was a real side to Diem that we all got to see. When she wore wigs because she hated her short hair. When she would stand up for herself when other players would try and stab her in the back. Things like that will be missed in the up and coming seasons of The Challenge.
My thoughts and prayers are with Diem’s friends and family. Thank you for being so courageous and spreading your story of strength. Your inspiration and heart will carry on for many years to come.
Rest in beautiful peace Diem Brown.
If there is one show on MTV that I still watch it is any of the Challenges shows that have come on through out the years. If you have watched any of those seasons there is a good chance you know that CT is one of the biggest and baddest players to ever come through the game but his best asset has always been the one woman he ever loved, Diem. They are like the Romeo and Juliet of MTV and I don’t care what anyone has to say about it.
Recently Diem was diagnosed with colon cancer after beating ovarian cancer, not once, but twice.
Whether these two are “on” or “off” or just friends, there is clearly a strong bond between the two of them. I wish Diem the absolute best of luck!

The Challenge is probably one of the greatest competition shows on television! Why not take some of the most wild cast mates to ever appear on The Real World and throw them all into a house. You watch the alpha males try and show how strong they are then you watch the bad bitches prove that they are just that. This show is just incredible! You have to love it!
This season is is going to be different than any other season of The Challenge, this season they are all free agents. There are no teams, no anything to hold people back, it is all based on how the person is as a competitor. Of course there will be politics and such but who cares, this will be great!
The list of competitors is also really good. For the girsl you have Cara Maria, Laurel, Camilla, Nany, and Jaymme, just to name a few. Then for the guys you have CT, Johnny, Zach, and Jordan. I honestly think that Johnny is in trouble though, he is always all about his team, I hope people turn on him.
Let the games begin though! Anyone can win this game this season. Anyone from Jess from Real World Portland to Cohutta from Real World Sydney, let the games begin!
