Well I guess I am happy that Vanessa is leaving because she will probably be in a bunch of movies, or have her own show, but I am also sad. She is definitely one of the strongest players on the show.
Of course Kate and Cecily are great but Vanessa just kills me, she’s so weird.
There wasn’t much talk about this until she posted it on Instagram earlier this week.
Well Vanessa, I will miss seeing you on ‘SNL’ but here’s to hoping this means you have a show or movie lined up!
What did we ever do to deserve Melissa McCarthy? She is just this happy comedic cherub that started off as Lorelai Gilmore’s sidekick until she really had her breakout role in ‘Bridesmaids’.
Last night Melissa hosted ‘SNL‘ for the fifth time and her opening monologue was the cutest thing on this planet. She basically picked a mom out from the crowd and decided to give her a backstage tour.
Harry Styles solo is way hotter than Harry Styles in One Direction. I want to throw that out there right now.
I know I am a bit behind on writing about Harry’s incredible ‘SNL‘ performance, I apologize but I am doing it now!
Saturday night he was obviously the musical guest on ‘SNL’ and he did a great job. His voice is just incredible and homeboy knows how to sing live, something Zayn doesn’t know how to do anymore.
Is anyone feeling a John Mayer type of vibe with solo Harry?
For some reason there are still people out there who want to argue that Lorde doesn’t have any talent. I am not here for those people, those people can go right to hell.
Lorde wrote her first album when she was 15 and now at 20 she is going to have one of the best albums of the year, there’s no question about it. If you don’t like her voice, I get that but don’t take away from her talent, okay?
Over the weekend Lorde performed two songs on ‘SNL’ and she killed the performances. Homegirl sounds the same live as she does on her album, I appreciate that.

The one where Jennifer Aniston tries to stop Vanessa Bayer’s Rachel Green impression. Get it? Like how all of the ‘Friends’ titles were, no? Okay.
Vanessa has done her Rachel Green impression for a while now and it’s pretty hysterical. It is very on point and well, Jennifer Aniston wants to put a stop to it. Of course it is all in fun but it was pretty great to watch the two of them go back and forth. It literally sounded like Jennifer fighting Jennifer and it’s pretty perfect.
Kate McKinnon is absolute gold, let me start off by saying that. The woman has so many talents and is one of the best things to come out of SNL in a while. The show of course had their fun during the election, but now they had to basically face the reality of a Donald Trump presidency.
In my personal opinion, they handled it perfectly.
A tearful tribute to both Leonard Cohen and Hillary Clinton.
Beautifully done.
Kate concluded the performance by saying “I’m not giving up and neither should you.” As many people know Kate is an open member of the LGBTQ community, so hopefully this gives people just a small glimmer of hope.
If you weren’t planning on tuning into ‘SNL’ this weekend I would highly recommend doing so. Of course they will talk about the election, which I am not ready to talk about yet, but Dave Chappelle will be hosting.
Dave has of course been on a bit of a hiatus from comedy and it looks like he is ready to come back in a big way!
So, if you haven’t had a reason to watch ‘SNL’ for a while, I think Saturday night is the night to do so!
Listen, I know that everyone complains about how ‘SNL‘ isn’t as funny as it used to be and it should just be cancelled, but I have to disagree. Maybe it isn’t as funny as before, but it is still pretty damn hysterical. You have to give the cast credit. Well I would like to give the ladies of the cast credit. They are the ones bringing in the laughs for the most part.
This scene in particular kills me because it is exactly how girls on Halloween act. You think you’re going to go out and it’s going to be a magical night of dressing up and maybe finding someone dressed as your night in shining armor, when in reality someone throws up and only one of your heels break.
Usually the night will start off with selfies and looking cute, then end up with selfies that you pray you didn’t upload while you were black out.
Anyway, I just wanted to give this scene love because oh my god, it was perfect.
Also, I have a serious lady boner for Cecily Strong, have fun with that knowledge. Really though, these three at my favorite, of course I wish Kate McKinnon was in it, but she can’t be in every skit and I understand. These three ladies killed it though.
Over the weekend Lady Gaga performed on ‘SNL‘ and she absolutely killed her two performances! Not only that but her episode brought in a season high because Lady Gaga fans will watch anything that she is on. For good reason too, in my opinion Gaga doesn’t have one mean bone in her body. You also have to get credit to the incredible Tom Hanks for pulling in those ratings because he was the host. Putting them together is just a a huge ratings boost!
Lady Gaga sounded absolutely incredible live! She performed my favorite song from JOANNE ‘Million Reasons’ and then the bop ‘A-YO’. People actually accused her of lip syncing because she sounded so good. Nope, she is just crazy talented.

Kate McKinnon is currently the superstar “SNL” cast member that will probably leave after next season and go on to star in a bunch of movies. I think that everyone can see that, right? She is just on another level of comedy.
Well last night she was on Jimmy Fallon’s show and went on to talk about her big Emmy win which is awesome and all but she also talked about her cat. Her cat that she loves so much named Nino Positano.
One thing you have to accept when you’re a cat owner is that cats do not care. They could care less if you win an award, if you end up getting the job of your dreams, they really don’t care. All that they get excited about is when you open up the treats bag or open a can of tuna.
Cats teach you how to love something selfish, isn’t that just sweet?
