Alanis Morissette Has Written A ‘Jagged Little Pill’ Musical

This is most definitely the best news I have heard all day.

In case you have zero taste in music, Alanis Morissette wrote her debut album Jagged Little Pill is one of the best albums written in the past 40 years. Fight me on it, I dare you!

Well according to the New York Times, Alanis’ musical will be at the American Repertory Theater in Cambridge, MA in May of 2018.

Alanis is working with Diablo Cody, who has written screenplays like ‘Juno’ and ‘Jennifer’s Body’ along with Diane Paulus who is a Tony award winning director.

I can’t wait for whomever to belt out “You Oughta Know”, this is going to be legendary!

If I am not there opening night I am going to be so upset with myself.

Fox Announces ‘Rent’ As Their Next Live Musical!

If you were to ask me what musical has the best songs in the world I would have to say ‘Rent’. It has such powerful songs and the message behind the movie, in a way I feel as though the story is even more important now.

There is no set date for when ‘Rent’ will air but I am guessing sometime in 2018.

No cast has yet to be revealed either, but I can’t wait to see who they cast.

We can only pray that they do this story justice and don’t show us some bullshit watered down version of the story.

Man Crush Monday: Daveed Diggs

So I will probably never see ‘Hamilton’ live and that is something that I have come to accept. I will listen to the soundtrack all day though and pretend that I am not sitting in an office!

Last night at the Tony awards, the play ‘Hamilton’ won 11 awards, and Daveed ended up being one of the winners for supporting actor I believe. Well while watching I kind of fell in love with him, is that weird? Is that too much? I don’t care.

There is something about a man that can rock a wild haircut and still look attractive, am I right? I think so.

It has been a very heavy few days in the news so I wanted to try and bring a lighter article today.

So let’s give it up to this weeks Man Crush Monday, a man who can sing, dance, and has a smile that could make even the coldest of hearts melt. Plus he is a Brown graduate so you know that he has brains, just one of the many great things that he can bring to the table.
