The ‘A Wrinkle In Time’ Trailer Is Officially Here!

I am really so ready to see this movie. I can remember hearing about the book but never reading it, and now I won’t have to because there is a movie with fucking Reese Witherspoon, Mindy Kaling, and Oprah!

This cast is absolutely stacked and I love every single second of it. Other than the three incredible actresses I listed above, it also stars, Chris Pine, Zach Galifianakis, Michael Pena, and I am sure that Storm Reid is going to kill it.

Can this movie come out already? I need to see my girl Mindy in a huge role on the big screen!

Raven-Symoné Opens Up About Labels To Oprah

It is now the year 2014 and race is still one of the biggest issues when it comes to American culture. It is something that isn’t really talked about to much until a cop uses their power in the wrong way, or something like that. It is just kind of swept under the rug. Talking about race can be an extremely touchy subject that not many people know how to actually communicate about. Me, I am one of those people honestly. I don’t want to say the wrong term, sound like I am racist, and then get grief for that when I meant nothing offensive at all. This video of Raven is extremely important though.

You know after watching this video I have gained a respect for Raven-Symoné that I didn’t even realize needed to be there. See I grew up with her as Raven on the show “That’s So Raven” where she was hilarious and everyone knew it. I didn’t realize that she was a beautiful person off screen, someone who had so much to say and genuinely wanted to speak her mind.

Oprah told Raven that she was going to get a lot of flack on Twitter for saying that she wasn’t African American and truthfully I think that he she did get flack, but people were also very interested to hear what she had to say. If more people could be open minded about race then maybe we could have actual conversations instead of all of this fighting.

What do you think about Raven’s statements about labels?

Forbes Most Influentual Celebrities of 2014 List is a Mess

Image

So before I get into how much of a mess this list is I will list the top ten for you all to gasp and shake your head at.

1) Steven Spielberg.

2) Oprah Winfrey

3) George Lucas

4) Ron Howard

5) Martin Scorsese

6) Dr, Oz

7) Barbara Walters

8) Bono

9) Stan Lee

10) Rush Limbaugh

So you see the trend in this list of most influential celebrities of 2014 even though we are just about a month into the year? It is all older white men. Who runs Forbes? Probably older white men. It is just a mess! These people are not the most influential celebrities and I am 200% sure of it. I highly doubt that someone would bring up Stan Lee off the top of their heads when it comes to who is influential.

I mean all these people are great directors or raise a lot of money for charity, or are TV hosts, other than Rush Limbaugh he is just an asshole. That one just really throws me for a loop.

Here is what the list should have been when it comes to celebrities.

1) Jennifer Lawrence

2) Justin Timberlake

3) Meryl Streep

4) Jay-Z

5) Beyonce

6) Taylor Swift

7) Oprah Winfrey

8) Ellen DeGeneres

9) Idris Elba

10) Chelsea Handler.

Those are the most influential people in the business, if you don’t like it too bad!
