Nelly Fans Rally With #SaveNelly & #HotInHerreStreamingParty Trend On Socia Media

Photo published for Nelly Fans Rally 'Hot In Herre' Streams To Help Pay Off $2.4 Million Tax Debt

Usually I hate most of the trending topics on the internet, I can’t stand the Harambe jokes anymore, I don’t like the Arthur memes, but #SaveNelly? That hashtag is one that I can fully put my support in.

The hashtag started to trend when news broke that Nelly, one of the most beloved rappers of all time, owes $2.4 million in taxes. At first I thought, how could this happen? How could you not pay that much money to the IRS. Then I saw the hashtag #SaveNelly and #HotInHerreStreamingParty trending, and I knew I had to be a part of this movement. I may not be interested in the Presidential election that is happening because both people running are lizards, but this movement? I could be behind it.

The goal is stream any of Nelly’s music, preferably “Hot In Herre” enough to help the rapper pay off his insane debt.

Of course streaming barely pays anything so we as a country need to play “Hot In Herre” a total of 287,176,547 times, but most likely more times.

Nelly has a diamond record. Nelly had a ton of bops. Nelly needs us, we need Nelly.

Just put one of Nelly’s albums on repeat on Spotify, or whatever other streaming you can, and keep your computer on silent if you don’t want to hear it.

If there is one thing I think the internet can do, it is to play “Hot In Herre” over 200,000,000 times, together we can make Nelly great again.

Céline Dion Sings Britney, Missy Elliot & Nelly On ‘Ellen’

celine-dion-ellen

Celine has been doing so much press lately and I can’t get enough of it. She is such a weirdo and I love every single second of it. As strange as she is, she has incredible talent and can sing like an angel. Plus, her weirdness is kind of endearing, right?

On ‘Ellen’ the other day, she decided to give rapping a try. Well she decided to put her own spin on rap songs.

Do you think she is going to add “Hot In Herre” to her Vegas show? One can only hope.

Personally, after watching the video she needs to cover Britney’s “Work Bitch”, it will be even more timeless than it already is.

Nelly & Taylor Swift Duet To ‘Dilemma’ At Karlie Kloss’ Birthday Party

Taylor Swift and Haim Perform 'Hot in Herre' with Nelly in St. Louis
DILIP VISHWANAT/LP5/GETTY

What else would happen at Karlie Kloss‘ birthday bash, right? I mean, why not invite Nelly and Taylor Swift and then they just so happen to go up on stage and karaoke ‘Dilemma’.

Let’s be real, although he hasn’t put out a song in a while, Nelly will always be one of the best rappers of the 2000’s. Calm down, I didn’t say the best but he gave us some seriously awesome bops. He also has a certified diamond record, something not many artists have.

This isn’t even their first duet together. Their first time happened on the 1989 tour where she pulled him up on stage in his hometown of St.Louis.

Now the internet hates this duet because obviously Kelly Rowland‘s vocals are incredible and right now everyone hates Taylor Swift, but I can appreciate this for what it is. Karaoke. Well karaoke for Taylor and a performance for Nelly.

Hate it or love it, I bet that you sang along.

UPDATE: My mistake, it wasn’t for Karlie Kloss’ birthday, it was for oil heir Mike Hess’ birthday. Sorry about that guys!

Nelly’s “Country Grammar” Album Is Certified Diamond

In 2000, Nelly came into the scene with his Midwest flow rapping ‘Country Grammar’ and following it up with the album “Country Grammar” as well.

Well, 16 years later, it is now certified diamond, something that not many albums ever achieve. Let’s put it this way, rappers like 50 Cent and Jay Z have never had any of their albums go diamond. Well, I should say yet because it took Nelly 16 years.

I think that we can all agree that  in the early 2000’s Nelly owned the rap game, as strange as that sounds but with songs like well, ‘Country Grammar’, ‘Ride Wit Me’, ‘Shake Ya Tailfeather’, ‘Air Force Ones’, ‘Hot In Herre’, along with duets like ‘Dilemma’ with Kelly Rowland (my favorite former member of Destiny’s Child), and ‘Over and Over’ which brought in country superstar Tim McGraw. I mean, he was all over the place with genres!

Word on the street is that Nelly is trying to make a cross over into country music, so we will see how that goes. His remix of ‘Cruise’ with Florida Georgia Line was a smash hit, so it wouldn’t surprise me if it actually worked in his favor!

Nelly, thanks for being my first favorite rapper ever, but I am still a little salty that you and Ashanti broke up, because you two were my favorite.

Nelly Covered Thomas Rhett’s ‘Die A Happy Man’

Yes, you read the title correctly, Nelly decided to cover the insanely popular country his ‘Die A Happy Man’ originally sang by Thomas Rhett.

About six months ago or so Nelly said that he was going to be coming out with a country album and I didn’t believe it. Considering growing up Nelly was an insanely popular rapper I couldn’t imagine it. He did have an awesome remix with Florida Georgia Line for ‘Cruise’ but a whole album, that’s a lot. Plus his Tim McGraw song was huge, but again he rapped through most of it.

Honestly, after hearing this song I am still not sure. I think that if I didn’t know him as Hot In Herre Nelly, I think that I would be more accepting. Hearing him actually singing, no rapping at all, it is a lot.

I give this song a C+, I have heard worse but I have heard much better too. It could also be my own bias since I loved him rapping.  I am interested in seeing where this country singing career goes though.

Taylor Swift Performs “Hot In Herre” With Nelly In St.Louis

Let’s be real, Nelly is St.Louis royalty so bringing him out on stage is a brilliant move. Although is Taylor Swift can get Mick Jagger out on stage she can absolutely bring Nelly out on stage.

Something about Taylor Swift trying to be sexy makes me feel so uncomfortable. I mean I get it, “Hot In Herre” is a great song. We all love it. But as you can see from the video below they sing sexual healing, it is kind of weird. I mean I feel like I am a prude for saying that but I don’t know. Tay being sexy makes me feel weird.

Anyway, Nelly is so hot. I mean he is just so damn sexy I can’t even explain it.

Just watch the video and enjoy it! Just try not to watch Taylor or the Haim girls dancing.

New Kids On The Block To Tour With TLC & Nelly

I don’t want to go to this concert, I need to go to this concert! I haven’t been this excited for a concert since NKOTB teamed up with BSB! To this day I will say that was one of the best concerts of all time. This line up though? It may be better than that one. I believe I have made it pretty clear that Nelly is my all time favorite rapper. He could rap the phone book and I would probably still dance to it. Having TLC there, that just takes the cake. How in the hell did this even happen? Which one of the New Kid members came up with this bright idea? Possibly their greatest idea ever, right?

Anyway, tickets go on sale at the end of January and I do believe that this concert will break records. These are three bands that everyone loves. Everyone loves TLC, the fact that they decided not to replace Left Eye only makes me love them more. T-Boz is my girl for life though.  Can’t go wrong with Nelly, ever. Nelly is the sexiest and best rapper ever, the end. New Kids are basically the original Backstreet Boys, so I love them.

All I need in my life is to hear ‘Waterfalls’ and ‘Ride Wit Me’ live at the same concert to know that my life is complete.
