Man Crush Monday: LaRoyce Hawkins

So like many people I watch the NBC hit show ‘Chicago PD’. Soon enough I am sure that there will be an entire channel dedicated to the city that Dick Wolfe saw so much potential in with crime dramas.

Anyway, I know that all the ladies swoon over Jesse Lee Soffer but for me, I love LaRoyce Hawkins. I genuinely think that he is one of the best actors on the show and I am glad that he is finally getting some more love on the show. By love I of course mean better story lines.

LaRoyce is not only a talented actor, he is also known for spoken word poetry and I genuinely believe that we will see a lot more from him in the future, although I don’t know if ‘Chicago PD’ will ever end.

So LaRoyce is an absolute babe, I just want to throw that out there. He reminds me of a teddy bear and I just want to hug him, because of those giant muscles.

NBC Hit Show ‘This Is Us’ Gets Renewed For Season Two & Three!

Most people are aware of the show ‘This Is Us‘ and how it is definitely one of the best shows on television. I swear the writing of the show just continues to get better and better. The acting is definitely the best on television too. The entire cast is amazing and it’s just such a beautiful story of a family.

Well it looks like NBC wants us to know that they are committed to keeping this show on air because it’s beyond amazing.

Looks like I will need to stock up on tissues every single fall because this show knows how to play with your emotions.

NBC Gives ‘Will & Grace’ 10 Episode Revival!

If you just heard a high pitch squeal of happiness it was me because ‘Will & Grace‘ is back! Well it is back for just a ten episode run but I am going to assume that they will make an even bigger comeback if those ten episodes have high ratings!

NBC confirmed today that the reboot is definitely happening after the whole cast played coy over the past few months.

NBC Entertainment chairman Robert Greenblatt said in a statement. “We’re thrilled that one of the smartest, funniest, and most defining comedies in NBC history is coming back. This groundbreaking series for everything from gay rights to social and political commentary — all disguised as a high-speed train of witty pop culture — is coming back where it belongs.”

The new series is set to air during the 2017/18 season!

I am going to cross my fingers and pray that this show gets more episodes. I also kind of love that  it isn’t on Netflix. NBC knew what they were doing with that one.

This is just going to be a heads up, if you’re a Donald Trump fan, I wouldn’t watch this show. It’s going to be filled with jokes about him, they have always joked about social issues so be prepared.

According to reports all four of the main actors will definitely be joining the show.

Sterling K Brown Does Push Ups With Co-Stars Milo Ventimiglia & Justin Hartley On His Back

I know that title was a mouthful and I am not really all that sorry about it. I needed to get you guys to open! In case you’ve been living under a rock, Sterling K Brown is on one of the best new shows of the year ‘This Is Us’. I promise you that this show is going to be nominated for just about everything once award season comes around.

Well tonight Sterling took to Twitter to let everyone know that not only is he an incredible actor, he is also extremely strong. Yup!

Tonight he posted videos of putting Milo and Justin on his back and doing a few push ups as they stayed put. Actually all of the guys were doing push ups with each other on their backs. Must be a guy thing, I don’t know but I am kind of into it.

Zayn Malik & Dick Wolf Are Producing A Show For NBC About Boy Bands

Zayn Malik is such a fucking weirdo, I don’t even feel bad saying that. He goes out there and quits One Direction because he doesn’t want to be in the spotlight anymore. Well that was what he said at least. So he comes out with a solo album that does extremely well, and then starts to say he has such bad anxiety he can’t actually perform live. Now he is going to be producing a show with Dick Wolf. If you don’t know who Dick Wolf is he created all of the Law & Order seasons along with the entire Chicago family that is also on NBC.

If I was to say that I wasn’t excited for this show though, I would be lying. I may be in my mid twenties (cringe) but I love me some boy bands. It has been well documented on this blog too.

So far all that has really been said about the show is that it will be titled ‘Boys’ and both Zayn and Dick will have a hand in producing it.

Zayn, I thought you wanted to leave your boy band life in the past, not rewrite it on screen. I don’t know, like I said, Zayn is a fucking weirdo.

I will say, I find the whole timing of this to be odd as well. He cancels, well basically every life performance due to extreme anxiety, but he wants to announce his involvement with a television show? Just kind of weird to me.

Anyway, if Dick Wolf is involved it will be around for 20 or so years, which is awesome.

Are you excited for this show? I hope it’s juicy and kind of takes excerpts from real life. I don’t want some bubble gum pop show, I want boy bands on drugs and shit. You know, kind of like One Direction.

Mandy Moore Is Returning To Acting In NBC’s ‘This Is Us’

So I am pretty sure that this is going to be a show that I am going to get absolutely hooked on. The preview alone made me emotional. Just sitting at my desk, crying because of how beautiful everything looked.

Now listen, I know I made it seem like Mandy Moore is the only big name that will be on this show but that’s because I am a huge Mandy Moore fan and I am beyond excited that she is going to be back on television. Some other actors involved with the show are Milo Ventimiglia, Justin Hartley, and Sterling K. Brown, just to name a few people.

This show is going to be a hit, it has to be. Also, Shonda Rimes doesn’t write this show so there is a good chance everyone will survive at least the first season, which is always a plus.

Peter Gallagher Joins NBC’s ‘Cruel Intentions’ Reboot

Okay, okay. So far I am a fan of the lineup that NBC is putting together so bring this show back. Of course I am a bit weary of it considering how iconic ‘Cruel Intentions’ was but hey, they are bringing back Sandy Cohen! Any time Sandy Cohen is in anything, it is usually good. I mean those eyebrows are full of talent!

For real though, I was like 12 and had a crush on Sandy Cohen that I never understood. Being well, older now, I still have a crush on him and understand it a little bit better. Those brows of fury, those blue eyes, I mean how can you not love it?

So far all that we know is that Peter will be playing the father of Sebastian. He is a crude businessman but other than that, we don’t know much.

So far we know that at least one original character will be reprising their role, God bless Sarah Michelle Gellar for that one! Some people are angry that Reese has yet to join. I mean I would love to see her come back but let’s be real, I feel like chances on that are slim to none. Of course we wont get Ryan because he died in the movie, spoiler alert if you haven’t seen it.

Sarah Michelle Gellar Is Joining NBC’s ‘Cruel Intentions’Series

When I first heard about this ‘Cruel Intentions’ reboot I wanted absolutely nothing to do with it. I mean the movie is an absolute classic. Everything about it was perfect, from the casting to the dialogue, there wasn’t anything I disliked about it. Remakes though, we all know how those usually end. Terribly.

There is a glimmer of hope now though, Sarah Michelle Gellar has officially signed on to reprise her role as Katherine Merteuil.

Katherine is one of the baddest bitches ever, her role was so perfect and so evil, it was just, it was incredible. She was so unlikable but you also kind of liked her. Her lines were hilarious. Think about Blair Waldorf with a coke problem and less of a filter, there is Katherine.

No word on anyone else reprising their role just yet though. I hope Reese makes at least a cameo.

So maybe I will give this show a shot, will you?

NBC Is Reportedly Concerned About Jimmy Fallon’s Drinking Habits

NYP– He’s one of NBC’s biggest success stories — keeping “The Tonight Show” at the top of the late-night ratings with bouncy show tunes and campy games.  Now Jimmy Fallon is also one of NBC’s biggest worries. On Oct. 24, Fallon was stitched up at a hospital in Cambridge, Mass., after falling — and dropping a bottle of Jägermeister — while receiving the Harvard Lampoon’s Elmer Award for Excellence in Humor. “I threw the bottle and then I landed on broken glass,” a bandaged Fallon recapped on his show the following Monday. “There [were] pools of blood everywhere.” It’s the party guy’s third injury in four months, and sources say NBC is worried that Fallon’s drinking has become excessive. And while they’re not doing anything about it — yet — “It’s gone from being a whisper to a chatter,” says one industry insider of Fallon’s over-the-top behavior. In June, the 41-year-old comedian nearly severed his finger after tripping on a rug at his luxe Gramercy Park pad and catching his wedding ring on a countertop. Prior to that injury, he had been out dining and posing with wine-drinking fans at Upper East Side Italian restaurant Scalinatella.
The consecutive injuries come on the heels of a seemingly endless parade of Page Six mentions chronicling the after-hours antics of the host, who is married to Nancy Juvonen (co-owner with Drew Barrymore of the production company Flower Films) and has two daughters, both under 2 years old. There was April 2014 at the East Village dive bar Niagara, where Fallon was allegedly involved in a brawl after a Thursday night taping of “The Tonight Show.” (The next evening, he managed to rally and partied at a Chelsea watering hole until the early morning, buying shots of vodka for the entire bar.)

I have said it once, I will say it a million times. I can’t stand Jimmy Fallon, I really feel like he is the worst. Sure he has some really great skits, I will give him that but him in general, the worst. During all of the interviews he does he interrupts his guests, laughs at his own jokes, and ruins almost every skit by laughing for five minutes straight. I would take Kimmel or Conan over him any time.

This is all from the New York Post and you know that you can only trust about half of what they have to say but there is probably something there. Jimmy explained his latest injury was because a woman bent down in front of him and he tripped. I don’t think it really matters because he fell with a giant bottle of Jager in his hands.

So please, I need to know what people think of this. Do you think that he is a bit of a liability because he is constantly getting hurt when alcohol is involved? To me his friendship with Justin Timberlake can only save him for so long.

Sophia Bush Stands Up To Violent Stalker

Sophia Bush is taking a stand against an “obsessive” stalker who has spent months harassing both her and her fans.

On Tuesday, the 32-year-old actress shared a collage of more than 500 screenshots of the stalker’s comments on her Instagram and Twitter accounts.

“For the past few months I have been harassed to the point of sheer horror by an online stalker. This person has taken to harassing and bullying many of my followers as well. And tonight I finally said fuck this shit,” the “Chicago P.D.” star wrote along with the photo.

Bush explained that the 500 screenshots were just a “tiny sampling” of the harassment she’s endured over the last three months, and she’s sharing it because she’s had enough. (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/09/30/sophia-bush-stalker_n_5907274.html)

Sophia also wrote out a long message to her fans about this issue on her website, posted below.

“For the past few months I have been harassed to the point of sheer horror by an online stalker. This person has taken to harassing and bullying many of my followers as well. And tonight I finally said fuck this shit. This is what I posted to twitter. The photograph is a tiny sampling of over 500 screenshots I’ve taken in the last three months. And I’m sharing it here to make something very clear. This kind of behavior does. Not. Fly. You do not have permission to hide. Not anymore: This has gotten beyond out of hand. Obsessive. Violent. And legally punishable. To any of you who’ve been targeted by @SophhiaBush, I’m so sorry. I’m sure he/she will be blocked again soon, only to create another account. We’re close to 20 now. And law enforcement says “we’re on it,” and “don’t acknowledge this person,” but when this person, this vitriolic perverse monster is targeting all of you? Threatening rape, gang rape, & throat slitting to name a few? Impersonating me and breaking some of your hearts? Telling people they should kill themselves, and detailing how? Nope. No silence. As the evidence of staking and harassment mounts, so does my anger. Because this is grotesque. And on the other side, my sadness mounts as well. What happened to you, you poor lost soul, that this is how you find pleasure? That you need to attempt to destroy little bits of other people to build yourself up, bit by bit? Who in your life hurt you? Who made you need to act out like this? Because my god I feel so sorry for you. But my sorrow in the face of your pain is no match for my anger at the pain you are causing others. You do not have the right to spread poison because you have felt poisoned. It’s a small minded and ugly path to take. Choosing to inflict pain doesn’t make you strong or powerful. It only proves your weakness and self-loathing. All the time you’re taking to verbally harass us, threaten physical assault, and terrorize strangers? Please start spending it in therapy and learn to love yourself. You deserve it. You know what I have to say about this? Bravo Sophia Bush for taking a stand when something is going wrong. There are many celebrities who get harassed and bullied online by obsessive fans, haters, or whoever but few actually do anything about it. The fact that this fucker was saying he wanted to “gang rape” and “slit her throat” is absolutely insane. There is no need for such threats. If you don’t like a celebrity, simply don’t follow them on social media. That would be the normal thing to do.

I just have to say that the way that Sophia Bush handled this was absolutely graceful. She also sent out tweets to some of her fans that had been targeted by this stalker as well, apologizing for his actions. Isn’t that so crazy? An actress of her caliber actually took the time to look through her mentions and decided to apologize for this psychotic person’s actions. That takes a lot of heart to do such a thing.
