Nas & Nicki Minaj Are Still Going Strong!

Nas and Nicki Minaj have been quietly dating for a while now. It seems like this power couple is ready to step into the spotlight a bit more too, something I am definitely here for.

They look good together! Don’t you think?

According to TMZ, although Nas and Nicki don’t get to see each other often, they text all day and FaceTime as much as possible as well.

Last night though, Nas turned 44 and Nicki was right by his side celebrating the whole night!

I am totally behind this couple, I just hope they never make a song together. Nas is simply too good for that.

Nicki Minaj Cuddles Up To Nas In New Instagram Photo

Image result for nicki minaj and nas

Well, it looks like Nicki Minaj may have moved on from Meek Mill with one of the greatest rappers to ever touch a mic, Nas.

Last night Nicki posted a photo with the rapper with the caption “Only KINGS recognize QUEENS”.

So no word on if they are simply collaborating in the studio or in the bedroom, but I am guessing we will find out soon enough.

What do you think of this couple?

Lin-Manuel Is Releasing The Hamilton Mixtape Featuring Nas, Usher, Sia, & More!

Yes, I am one of those people who will always tell you to listen to the Hamilton soundtrack and then talk about how it changed my life while making me love musicals more. Yes, that’s me. Hello.

Well today, Lin-Manuel announced that he is releasing a mixtape featuring an incredible amount of talented singers.

Check out the track list.

So, I have listened to this album on repeat for the past five months or so, I know every line, and I am ready for this. Here I can listen to all of the incredible songs but with new vocalists? Count me in!

The only other place I can picture Ashanti, Kelly Clarkson, and Busta Rhymes being on the same album would be a “Now That’s What I Call Music” album, right?

It will be available for preorder tomorrow and will officially go on sale December 2nd.

I am willing to wait for it, are you?

Happy 43rd Birthday Nas!

Nas is one of my all time favorite rappers. I know that I talk about how much I love pop music but rap? If you have songs have deep lyrics and a true meaning, I can get behind it. Nas is one of the best lyricists of all time, that is a fact. When it comes to an artist like him you have to respect him.

Somehow Nas has never won a Grammy, but has been nominated three times for Best Rap Album of the year, he does have a ton of awards under his belt though. My favorite fact about him? On his most recent album he put his daughter as a producer so she could receive royalties from it.

Also, In July 2013, he was honored by Harvard University, when it established the Nasir Jones Hip-Hop Fellowship, which will serve to fund scholars  who show potential and creativity in the arts in connection to hip hop.

So happy birthday Nas, I can’t wait for new music.

Rapper Nas Shares Passionate Post About Racial Inequality

America has spent so much time, money & resources fighting wars abroad and completely fell asleep at the wheel of the war brewing within our cities, neighborhoods & blocks. We are supposed to stand for freedom & equal opportunity. That’s supposed to mean MORE than just words but the actions of late just don’t speak to what we are supposed to stand for. This is BIGGER than BLACK and WHITE. This is about America selling a false dream. Now we’ve obviously progressed since the inception of this nation but we took our eye off the ball and it feels as though things are moving backwards. As a black man, I find it difficult to understand that our biggest export (our American culture) comes from us. The people in the streets… The way the world dresses, talks, what they listen to, what they watch… That all comes from us. How can we be the ones responsible for America’s biggest export & fear for our lives like we shouldn’t belong here. I don’t have all the answers nor do I believe anyone does, but we need to have conversations around how to improve as a nation. How do we show any ounce of progress that keeps hope alive. This is too big of a problem to be solved overnight but there needs to be some questions answered to get things back on the track of righteousness. Amazing people died for this country. We owe it to the past, present & future to come together and move this country in the right direction. This is my home just like it is anyone else’s. RIP CRISPUS ATTUCKS. FIRST MAN TO DIE IN AMERICA’s FREEDOM WAR & HE WAS BLACK! GOD BLESS EVERY OUNCE OF INNOCENT BLOOD SHED FOR THIS NATION & MY FAMILY. (Nas)

Wow. That is honestly all that I can say after reading this post, this post is easily one of the best that I have ready when it comes to racial inequality in this country. I don’t want to get into a debate on what is going on but I will say that something needs to be done. I think that is rather obvious and Nas was able to put it into words so clear.

In my opinion Nas is one of the greatest rappers of all time so it makes sense he was able to make such an incredible description of this country.

It is time for us to all stand together as one rather than look at people for their differences.
