This is most definitely the best news I have heard all day.

In case you have zero taste in music, Alanis Morissette wrote her debut album Jagged Little Pill is one of the best albums written in the past 40 years. Fight me on it, I dare you!

Well according to the New York Times, Alanis’ musical will be at the American Repertory Theater in Cambridge, MA in May of 2018.

Alanis is working with Diablo Cody, who has written screenplays like ‘Juno’ and ‘Jennifer’s Body’ along with Diane Paulus who is a Tony award winning director.

I can’t wait for whomever to belt out “You Oughta Know”, this is going to be legendary!

If I am not there opening night I am going to be so upset with myself.

James Corden & Anne Hathaway Create Their Own Rom Com Musical

Last night James Corden definitely won late night. He and Anne Hathaway teamed up to sing their own soundtrack to a rom com and I have to admit, I am all about it. If these two were to make an actual feature film about this short, I would be there to watch it.

Just a quick side, I feel like for so long I hated Anne Hathaway and I don’t even remember why. I just didn’t like her, now something had switched. Was it this skit? Was it the hate that she got from winning an Oscar that made me change my opinion? I may never know!

James Corden + Anne Hathaway = straight fire flames.

Are We Ready For The Zac Efron & Hugh Jackman Musical?

Currently Zac Efron and Hugh Jackman are working on a musical called “The Greatest Showman”, so far there isn’t much information on the movie other than the title and the cast. Zandaya, Michelle Williams, and Rebecca Ferguson are also in the movie, so it should be pretty good, an incredibly well rounded cast if you ask me.

Honestly though, all I want to tune in for his Zac Efron singing and dancing. He is incredible at both and I never thought he would do a musical after “High School Musical” but there he is, out there surprising everyone!

I can’t wait for this movie to come out and so far I know literally nothing about it. Hugh and Zac in one movie, both singing and dancing, count me in.

Emma Stone Sings & Dances With Ryan Gosling In New ‘La La Land’ Trailer

Did somebody say Oscar season? Oh, just me? Well, I think that we can all agree that Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling on screen together is a match made in heaven already, they work so well off of each other. Let’s add the fact that this is a legitimate musical with all original songs and the cinematography looks outstanding. Yup, I see at least a few nominations in this films future.

Can we all agree on one thing? Emma Stone is good at everything. She is beautiful, she can do drama, she can do comedy, she can sing, she can dance, she is an absolutely incredible actress that I personally don’t think that she gets the credit she deserves.

Please, just take my money as soon as possible so I can go and fall in love with this movie.

Carrie couldn’t carry The Sound of Music

Image

Let’s be real, last night most people were watching The Sound of Music remake, not X-Factor, Glee or Grey’s Anatomy. This was going to be a live thing with Carrie Underwood and Vampire Bill. Honestly, I love the original so seeing this done a different way was very interesting. Obviously Carrie Underwood doesn’t hold a candle to Julie Andrews, let’s be real right now. Julie Andrews is a fucking legend and so is Carrie Underwood in her own right, she just isn’t an actress. I will say that Carrie did hold her own as an actress!

One thing that I hated was how out of order all of the songs were, I realize they couldn’t do half of the shit that was done in the movie because it was all on a stage rather than an actual set. The kids were awesome, the Von Trapp boys were still gay as ever which was perfect casting! Then came Vampire Bill. Vampire Bill was still Vampire Bill in this movie, same voice, same stone face, same all that bullshit. Vampire Bill should not have been the lead male, mistake!

All and all though I would give it a solid B, the singing was great, the acting was alright, and the casting was pretty good. I just wish they didn’t make shit so out of order!

Rant over.
