It’s pretty clear that with the loss of George Michael the music industry has taken a real hit. This year we have lost Prince, David Bowie in the music department. Other legends like Muhammad  Ali, Alan Rickman , Alan Thicke, Gene Wilder, and Florence Henderson have all passed away as well.

Let’s be real, 2016 has been a dumpster fire of a year.

We need a good 2017, okay? I am throwing that into the universe.

Of course though, with George Michael passing away, celebrities took to Twitter and Facebook to mourn the loss of this legendary musician.

Madonna & James Corden Team Up For Legendary Carpool Karaoke

Love her or hate her, Madonna is an icon. You can fight me on it but I promise you that you will lose. She has been doing the damn thing for so long now and she continues to tour, continues to slay, and continues to have a good time. James Corden is becoming a late night legend in his own right with this segment.

Honestly, sometimes I forget how many hits that Madonna gave us.

Thank you Madonna and thank you James Corden for making this happen.

Also, don’t vogue and drive, it’s dangerous.

James Corden is going to do such a good job hosting the Grammys. I hope it’s all from his car.

Why Did Everyone Hate Madonna’s Prince Tribute?

Everyone is being so extra salty towards Madonna for her Prince tribute. That’s right, people are ripping apart a performance that Madonna put on for one of her peers who passed away. One of her peers that she was fairly close with from what reports have said. After his tragic death it was reported that Prince and Madonna almost went on tour together but both decided that the world wasn’t ready for the kind of royalty that was going to be on one stage!

Many people were wondering if Madonna had the ability to sing or perform in a way that would honor Prince. Uhm, what? Do these people even hear themselves? Madonna is one of the greatest entertainers of our time, I am pretty sure that she has the chops to perform a tribute to just about anybody!

BET was the first out there to throw out some shade towards Madonna and the award show.

There is no way that you can please everybody but Madonna put her heart into the performance. She lost a friend and she wanted to give him a tribute even though I am sure she knew that there would be plenty of negativity to follow, she just didn’t give a shit. That is why we love Madonna, she doesn’t care what anyone thinks.

One of my favorite posts of the night about the whole Madonna performance had to come from a twitter user named Dexter, it is insanely well put together and thought out.

The backlash against Madonna doing a Prince tribute at Billboard really doesn’t make sense considering the awards are about commercial chart performance. Madonna is the only living peer of Prince’s commercial success and ubiquitous cultural influence.

If you want to argue that any Prince tribute at the Billboard awards is disrespectful because of his disdain for the music industry that makes sense. But being upset that Madonna was chosen to sing in tribute of her peer/collaborator/friend at the Billboard Awards is silly.

All award ceremonies are just celebrations of capitalist success so to assume there is any artistic imperative is an illusion you are buying into to jerk off your own ego. ✌🏻️ @DexforBreakfast

Madonna Is Going To Give Taylor Swift A Run For Her Money With Star Studded Music Video!

Now let’s be real, Madonna is a queen. There are few people who will ever change the face of pop music like Madonna has. She went from singing about blow jobs, to singing about being a virgin, to making out with Britney Spears. Madonna’s new music is straight fire too! I love it! Can’t get enough!

Anyway, I will say that this is a huge power move for Madonna. Everyone knows ‘Bad Blood’ had a ton of singers and famous actresses in it. Now I will say Taylor did drop the ball by using models that most people didn’t even know existed. Madonna don’t care though, she is bringing in the big guns. How about her using Katy Perry too? Everyone knows that ‘Bad Blood’ was written about Katy Perry, so why not throw her in a music video that could possibly be like ‘Bad Blood’.

My girl Rita is in this one though, so obviously I am already a fan of this video!

Really though, Nicki, Beyoncé, and Miley? You can’t go wrong there!

The Grammy’s 2015 Worst Dressed Women List!

I said it in a previous post when I was listing the best dressed women (https://lagunabiotchcelebritea.wordpress.com/2015/02/09/the-grammys-2015-best-dressed-women-list/) I don’t know much about fashion. I am not one of those girls who knows the names of all the designers, I don’t know what colors are in, I don’t know any of that! I do know what I like to look at though and what is displeasing to my own eye. My opinion is that you don’t need to be an expert to know when someone is wearing something you don’t like.

Let’s get going with the worst dressed!

5. Ariana Grande

 I don’t hate this dress, I just hate how she is wearing it if that makes any sense. I feel like if it was someone who had a fuller figure, then it would look incredible! The little silver fabric throws me off though. Is that a thing? Is this in style? Also Ariana, let your hair fall free, let it breath, that high ass ponytail is getting a little bit old.

4. Kim Kardashian

No surprise here that Kanye West was her stylist for this show. He never puts her in anything that is really fitted well to her body. This dress is basically like the J.Lo Grammy dress except instead of it being green and see through, it is gold and looks heavy as hell. I hate this dress, I think it is extremely unflattering, like we get it Kim you have boobs, and we can almost see your hoo-ha. If you covered up fully, that would be a real red carpet shocker.

3. Charli XCX

I feel like if she is trying to be edgy it isn’t working. I do like her little jelly shoes that have heels on them though, those are high class fashion. Charli, you are lucky that there are a few worse than you or else you’d be straight to the top for worst dressed of the night!

2. Madonna

Well Madonna is going to be Madonna. I didn’t expect her to dress up in anything nice. This is just one of the worst of the night. She did look killer on stage though, so she kind of made up for it! Go back to wearing suits Madonna,

1. Rihanna

Listen, I love Rihanna a lot more than people understand. I love her singing, I love all of that. This dress though? What in the hell was she thinking. Rihanna usually kills it on the red carpet too which is why I am so confused! I think they sell her dress at Bath and Body Works if you are interested though. This is just all kinds of no.

Madonna & Miley Performing Tonight On MTV!

So this is the current picture floating around the internet which I assume is a picture from the Miley Unplugged thing happening tonight on MTV or is from their rehearsal. I also think that Madonna is aware there is a new bad bitch in town and she better get on her good side! She is it when Britney started to get older and now here she is with Miley!

Madonna knows how to stay relevant, I have no idea how she does it but she does! Even at the Grammy’s after Queen Latifah married all those people here comes Madonna wearing all white and rocking a fucking came. No fucks given in Madonna’s book! She don’t care! Madonna reminds me of Mr.Burns on The Simpsons, just full of fox blood and incapable of dying.

This picture is pretty much golden though, right? They are both dressed in cowboy outfits and sticking their tongues out, nothing can get better than that right? Either Miley is trying to be like Madonna or Madonna is trying to be like Miley, we will never know! It is pretty clear that Madonna is trying to get a lot of attention right now for a reason right? Do we know the reason? Does she have a new album out right now? No, these are all legit questions.

Anyway, I hope that they make out like Madonna and Britney did, actually no I don’t. I am afraid that with one kiss Madonna will suck out Miley’s youth then only gain more power!

Justin Bieber: Fastest fall from grace of all time.

I have an actual question for everyone that reads my blog, has anyone had a faster downfall than Justin Bieber? It is a true question that I have thought about for a while now. Bieber became big in 2009 and now that it is nearing 2014 everyone seems to be waiting for his mental break down. I feel as though his downfall started when his sweet angelic Canadian voice changed into a southern accent, it was like Madonna having an English accent. I will admit, when Bieber first came out I was in awe that a 15 year old had such talent, I thought he was absolutely incredible! As the years went on and his Christmas album played constantly in the retail store I worked at, I realized how much I hated him. When he covered “All I want for Christmas” I became furious, how dare he cover a Mariah song. Yes, I am aware that she was on the song as well but it was still horrible. His true downfall started after he released the song “Boyfriend” and totally jacked Justin Timberlake’s “Like I Love You” music video. When him and Selena broke up he dropped even further, it was pretty interesting to watch for sure. Now in 2013 after a half sleeve of hideous tattoos, shirtless pictures for days, and then getting filmed by a creepy Brazilian he has lost it. He lost the wow factor that he once had. Now those are only a few things that made him really fall from grace. I might as well add the whole rapping career he thinks he has, the Brazilian brothel that he went to, pissing in mop buckets, getting pulled over every day, and using the term “Wild Kidz” thinking it was a good name. My theory is that now that Justin Timberlake is back there can only be one Justin. Sorry Bieber but I give you one more year then you will be just another joke that people scoff at, a male Lindsay Lohan, a what could have been. If you want to take my advice, stop mumbling through your songs, stop getting stupid tattoos, and stop complaining about not having privacy when you run around shirtless.
