So last night, well early this morning, Taylor Swift dropped her highly anticipated single “Look What You Made Me Do”.
To be fair I will say this, I haven’t liked most of Taylor’s lead singles but have loved the rest of her albums. I will also say that I think drunk Willi Killiams would love this song. She would get down to it and know every single line.
Sober me though? Eh, I am not super into the song.
She definitely samples “I’m Too Sexy” for her chorus, which is a brave move and somehow she makes it work for her.
This song though? I just can’t get behind it, not yet at least. This probably means that after it is drilled into my head I will start to enjoy it, that’s just what Taylor does.
Kanye and Kim are shook though.
Also remember when Katy called Taylor a Regina George in sheep’s clothing? Well all I can say is that this song sounds almost exactly like the song that played in the background while Regina Posed for her Halloween photos. You played yourself Katy.
Well this is a collaboration that I never thought I would hear but I don’t hate it at all.
This is a song that I could listen to on repeat which is saying a lot because I usually don’t like Coldplay. I mean I can appreciate that they are talented but their newest music has been a no from me.
If you’re watching it be sure to turn the speed up to 1.25, it sounds even better!
So Big Sean and Coldplay, I am about this collaboration that’s for sure.
I have decided that I need to listen to Halsey’s entire album at once because the songs will all flow together. She is good like that. Say if I just heard “Colors” and then “Strange Love” or something, I wouldn’t understand it all, but listening to the entire Badlands album, I understood it.
You know what I am trying to say?
This song is fine, apparently it was produced by The Weeknd but not written by him, there’s some confusion there.
Again, not a huge fan of this song but I like it more than I liked “Now or Never”, so that’s good.
In case you haven’t heard there is this show on Netflix that is having a huge impact right now. It is called ‘13 Reasons Why‘ and a lot of people love it, there are also a lot of people that don’t like it.
I won’t get into arguing I will simply say that I think it is an important show for everyone to watch. The things that you say and you matter, it can hurt people in ways you can’t even imagine. If you are watching this show and thing that it is simply making suicide romantic or if she is blaming all of her issues on other people, watch it again.
Truthfully I have so many thoughts about this show and maybe one day I will write them down for you all to read.
Okay, back to the topic of Selena Gomez and her song “Only You” which is featured on the ’13 Reasons Why’ soundtrack.
Selena is an executive producer on the project and spoke about how much it means to her.
Yesterday she released the lyric video for her song “Only You” which is featured on the project.
Check it out and let it break your heart all over again.
I have had Mack Wilds‘ latest project AfterHours on repeat since Friday when it was released. There is just something about his sound that I can’t get enough of and I am kind of mad it took me so long to see how incredible he is as an artist.
Today Mack dropped a lyric video for my favorite song on his album, “Crash”. It is just such a sexy song, it is full of emotion, and his voice sounds incredible on it.
It is about a relationship that you should leave but you just can’t I think everyone can relate to that.
So the world has been anticipating this song and I am not impressed. At the end of the day I have never been a huge Katy Perry fan but I can admit when she has a good song. That song “Dark Horse” is probably my favorite of hers, but this song? It is just, nothing new? This is definitely her weakest lead single ever.
The only thing I can say about this song is that it is catchy. I will probably hum to it or something but it isn’t anything all that special.
Max Martin did it again with having a song that will absolutely get stuck in my head after a few listens.
I don’t hate it but I am not impressed by this at all. This shows zero growth at an artist.
