Leah Remini Does Reddit AMA All About Scientology

Miller Mobley

As most people know Leah Remini has been on the fight against Scientology for a long time now. She has written books about how terrible the cult, oh I am sorry, their religion is and all of that. Stuff we already knew but stuff we still love to hear and will listen to like we have never heard it before. First person accounts are always the best.

Leah is currently promoting her new A&E show about Scientology, and she decided to go on Reddit. In case you didn’t know, Reddit is fucking awesome. There are so many weird things on the site, but this blog isn’t about the site. It is about her!

Check out some of her questions and answers, I pulled my favorite but you can read it all here!

Q: From someone who left, is there anything a loved one can do to help a brainwashed member see the truth, without ruining the relationship completely?

Leah : If you want to get them out there is no way to do it nicely. There is no way to do it quietly. You have to challenge them by saying, “If you can think for yourself, if you have truly accomplished what scientology says you have accomplished, you should be able to speak freely on any subject. If you have completed the “PTS/SP Course” you should be able to confront and shatter suppression.” You should ask them how is it then that you can’t watch a movie called Going Clear or look on the internet if you are the elite of the planet and handling the planet’s ills if you can’t think for yourself. I only hope that your challenge will get them to simply look.

Q: When you were a scientologist did you ever get any weird reactions from other famous people?

Leah : Weird reactions? No. I got appropriate reactions, “Why are you in this crazy shit?”

Q:  I am curious what you observed as mental health ‘treatment’ with Scientology? In addition, I am aware the ‘church’ is against psychology; how was this opposition demonstrated within or by the ‘church’? Finally, in your opinion how prevalent are mental health difficulties with the Scientology community?

Leah : The “Church” doctrine thinks that fields of psychology and psychiatry are a sham. They deny mental illness and afflictions. They promote that you can heal your psycho-sematic issues with their “technology.” They will get in the way of people taking medications. They will prevent people from getting the real medical help that they need. and in some cases have caused suicides because of it. Scientology is mentally abusive because we are all taught that we are responsible for everything.

Q : How can we destroy scientology?

Leah: I don’t want to destroy Scientology. I only want them to admit to the fraud that they promote, to not deny the confidential upper levels of the religion, so people can decide if they want to spend $250K and their lives doing it. That they admit to the policies of Fair Game. That they allow people to decide for themselves where they get their information. That they admit to disconnection and leave families the fuck alone.

So there you have it! Again there is a lot more to see, click here to see her answers and if you want to see the question, just click context!

If you’re interested in her show, it premieres tonight on A&E at 10 pm!

Watch Alexis Bledel Rank Her Top Four ‘Gilmore Girls’ Characters

Image result for alexis bledel gilmore girls

Thank God that ‘Gilmore Girls‘ is a thing again. I love that people are giving this show the recognition that it deserves because it was a great show. It definitely didn’t have the best ending, but hey, it’s okay.

Anyway, I love seeing Alexis Bledel on my screen no matter what. I can’t stand Jimmy Fallon but that’s a blog for a different day.

This interview was just a fun one where Alexis ranked her favorite characters from the show, her top four favorite actually and I was kind of surprised. I wasn’t expecting the ones that she chose but I feel like it makes sense. She didn’t choose only fan favorites.

For the record my top four?

  1. Emily
  2. Paris
  3. Luke
  4. Michel

There you have it! Tell me your top 4 on the Facebook or Twitter links below!

Watch Jennifer Lawrence Play 128 Seconds With ‘Vanity Fair’

Jennifer Lawrence has a new movie and you know what that means, it’s time for her to play up the quirky weirdo! Personally I think that Jennifer is hysterical, I think she has a dry humor when she acts most of the time, and I love it. She just tries to act too weird in interviews, like it’s almost forced. Just my opinion.

Doesn’t mean I like her any less though! Jen is definitely the best actress of our generation and we will be seeing her for a long time to come, that is something I am totally sure of. Whether you love or hate her, she is insanely talented.

Now go ahead and learn some stuff about her!

Zayn Malik Continues To Complain About Being Famous

Image result for zayn malik

I am so sick of Zayn Malik complaining about how much he hates being famous, he is even worse than Justin Bieber has been in the past. All that Zayn does is complain that being famous gives him anxiety, and that if he could change it, he would.

Well newsflash Zayn. You can. Stop doing interviews, stop making music, stop making a weird fucking autobiography, and just take your money and step away. I just don’t feel bad for you. I understand anxiety is real but if you can’t even put on a show due to your anxiety, maybe you should take a step back.

This rant is coming out of nowhere either. He recently did an interview with the Evening Standard about fame.

When he was asked what advice he would give the 17 year old Zayn Malik that was trying out for X-Factor, he said “don’t do it”, but then added: “I would say, ‘Do your research and be a bit more prepared about certain situations before you make a decision.’ ”

Zayn went on to add “But I probably wouldn’t have [signed] — I would’ve waited a couple more extra years. Just so I had that time to just get my head around being a famous person. I’ve never been able to have, what’s the word? Anonymity. If I could go back, I’d have a few more years of anonymity.”

If he wants to be so anonymous he can step away, believe me, you wouldn’t be totally missed. Yes, people would still notice him but he has enough money to just go off the grid.

So Zayn, if you want to stop being famous. I have some tips. Stop doing interviews, stop putting out music and then cancelling shows, and stop complaining about being famous. Nobody feels bad for you.

Joe Jonas Talks About Losing His Virginity…Again..

Image result for joe jonas and ashley greene

Joe Jonas did a Reddit question and answer, where he was asked about losing his virginity, again. Yes, Joe has talked about this before and apparently he couldn’t just leave it alone. He needed to bring up the entire night .

Get ready for the wild story!

“I lost my virginity to this girl named Ashley, you can probably just Google it. It’s pretty easy to figure out. I dated a girl named Ashley, so just Google it to figure out which Ashley that is.It’s quite the great story because I didn’t have any condoms, so I went to our drummer, Jack’s room, who was my roommate at the time and I demolished his room looking for them. Found them underneath his underwear drawer. When he came home, he thought somebody broke into his room because his whole room was demolished because I was in dire need. Needed to happen then and now. Safety first, kids” (credit).

It’ quote the great story. Oh my god Joe, you’re so fucking annoying. Joe is the absolute definition of a try hard. We get it, you had sex, that is awesome! I am so proud of you. He also added how you can Google it? Cool Joe. Put Ashley Greene on absolute blast.

Everyone is acting like this is news but back when he tried to be a solo artist he did that article about smoking weed, and losing his virginity. Click the link that says, “before”, if you want to read all of that.

Dear God he is so annoying.

He also explained he had a half chub while filming his last music video, so that’s exciting.

Demi Lovato Gets Really Real With ‘Glamour’ Magazine

All photo credit

Demi Lovato looks absolutely gorgeous on the cover of ‘Glamour‘ and she really did open up big time to the magazine. Of course people are going to give her shit for what she had to say but she is always pretty honest and unapologetic about being honest with herself. It is both a gift and a curse in Hollywood, that is for sure. If she was fake she would be called out for it, now she is going to be called a bitch for her comments about Taylor Swift. Yup, can’t please everyone.

With out anymore waiting, let’s dive into this interview!

On her break up with longtime boyfriend Wilmer :
I think it’s healthy to be able to start over with someone else. Being sick was always a part of my relationship with him; I always had something wrong with me. I needed to let go of that. It was hard to depart from somebody who saw everything, but it may be nice to start fresh with somebody. Because that person I was when I was a lot younger is not who I am today.
On Taylor Swift: …. To be honest, and this will probably get me in trouble, I don’t see anybody in any sort of squad that has a normal body. It’s kind of this false image of what people should look like. And what they should be like, and it’s not real. It’s not realistic. And I think that having a song and a video about tearing Katy Perry down, that’s not women’s empowerment. We all do things that aren’t, but I have to ask myself, Am I content with calling myself a feminist? Yes, because I speak out.

On her own triggers: Yeah, of course. Seeing cocaine in movies. I’ve never watched The Wolf of Wall Street. I can’t. I don’t like to go out to clubs, because I find myself seeing remnants of drugs in the bathroom.

On her advocacy on mind and body health: Right—when you’re an artist, you have a platform that can reach millions. I feel it’s selfish when you don’t use your voice, because then you’re just relishing the attention—you’re not using it for good. I have felt uncomfortable having people say, “You’re my idol,” because I want them to idolize God. I want them to idolize somebody that’s done a lot. So I think it’s important that artists use their voices for so much more than just their talent.

You can check out the whole interview and I really suggest that you do. Demi is working hard to be an advocate for women’s rights along with mental health issues. She is someone who is really refreshing in this incredibly fake Hollywood world.

Kate McKinnon Gets Real About Owning A Cat

Let's give that a closer look, yes? Yes.

Kate McKinnon is currently the superstar “SNL” cast member that will probably leave after next season and go on to star in a bunch of movies. I think that everyone can see that, right? She is just on another level of comedy.

Well last night she was on Jimmy Fallon’s show and went on to talk about her big Emmy win which is awesome and all but she also talked about her cat. Her cat that she loves so much named Nino Positano.

One thing you have to accept when you’re a cat owner is that cats do not care. They could care less if you win an award, if you end up getting the job of your dreams, they really don’t care. All that they get excited about is when you open up the treats bag or open a can of tuna.

Cats teach you how to love something selfish, isn’t that just sweet?

Well watch the video below and listen to Kate explain how her cat reacted to her winning an Emmy, it is perfect.

I have to throw up my gang hashtag real quick too, #CatLady4Lyfe.

Nick Jonas Wears Short Shorts And Opens Up With Wonderland Magazine

All photo credit

Nick Jonas has come a long way since his Jonas Brothers routes and I think that everyone can see that. He has matured and opened in ways that Disney probably didn’t allow him to at the time.

Now at 24 years old he has released two solo albums, starred in multiple television series, and has a movie that was an absolute smash hit at TIFF about college frat bros. Pretty impressive lineup there if you ask me. He has also never really had much controversy surrounding him, another thing that is extremely tough to escape in the age of social media.

When the magazine asked him about his latest album “Last Year Was Complicated”, he gave an answer that he has given time and time again. It is about being open with him, being open with fans, and being true to himself.

“I am way more connected to my music when it comes from a personal place, and so I wanted to find a way to present those stories and lay them out,” Jonas said. “I really want to see this music resonate with people.” The singer added. “It’s helped me learn a lot about myself, I think vulnerability on any level, and having the confidence to dive into areas of your own life that are tough to speak about at times, is incredible.”

Nick also opened up about his ties to the LGBTQ community, something that over the past few years he has been much more open about when it comes to being accepting. Now, he never said anything against the community before, but now he performs at gay clubs, he spoke after the Orlando tragedy, and he has gotten a bit of a hard time for doing those things.

“I’m totally aware of my intentions in any and all of my attempts to be an ally to the LGBT community: they are pure, and from my heart, and from my passion to be there for a community that’s been there for me from an early age,” Jonas says. “I’ve made so many great friends belonging to the LGBT community, and some of the most talented men and women in the community I’d like to pay my respects to.”

Finally, Nick opened up about being in the spotlight for the past 12 years and how that has shaped him as a person.

“I think I have a balance of it. I accept and understand that my circumstances and my life have been pretty unusual, to a certain degree,” he stated. “But also embracing it as my normal, I’ve gotta grow, make mistakes, in the way that everybody else does, only with a few more eyeballs on me. I don’t think like it’s been forced, and it feels like I’ve grown naturally.”

Bravo Nick, can’t wait to see what else you have in store for us.

Stranger Things’ Joe Keery and Ben Schwartz Prove They Aren’t The Same Person

I love when celebrities have celebrity doppelgangers and they play into them. I mean Katy Perry and Zooey Deschanel could be twins, Margot Robbie and Jamie Pressly look super similar, and I am pretty sure that Isla Fisher and Amy Adams were separated at birth. Did I fail to mention Victoria Justice and Nina Dobrev? Well again, they are actually separated at birth, I will always believe that, I don’t care what anyone has to say. Add these two to that list now as well.

Last night Joe and Ben got together on ‘The Late Late Show with James Corden’ and were hysterical. James Corden is always on fire with his skits and this one is no different.

There was some theory that Joe’s character Steve could be Ben’s character’s father. I don’t know. I watched ‘Stranger Things‘ but not ‘Parks & Recreation’, I know shame on me. The skit was extremely funny though, so go and take a look.

I am glad we saw these two in the same room finally because I am still kind of sure that they are clones of each other.

Miley Cyrus Opens Up About Britney Spears, Red Carpets, & More In ‘Elle’ Interview

In the past three years Miley Cyrus has changed a lot, she is no longer up there twerking and being wild. She seems to have calmed down and now wants to live a more normal life with her fiance Liam Hemsworth.

In her recent interview with Elle Magazine, Miley Cyrus opened up about her dislike for red carpet events, how she worries about Britney Spears, and how Liam Hemsworth is totally obsessed with PokemonGo.

On how she is over doing red carpets.

“[A year ago] I had to do the [A Very Murray Christmas] premiere, and I will never do a red carpet again. Why, when people are starving, am I on a carpet that’s red? Because I’m ‘important’? Because I’m ‘famous’? That’s not how I roll. It’s like a skit—it’s like Zoolander.”

Miley (just like everyone else) just wants Britney Spears to be happy.

ELLE asked, do you have a relationship with Britney? “[My manager Adam Leber] works with her; we’ve stayed close because of that. She’s a little distant in her world. I just want Britney to be happy. Every time she puts out new music, I’m like, ‘Is that what she wants to be doing? Or does she just want to chill?’ She’s looking so good right now, and looking happy.”

She doesn’t know how to use PokemonGo but Liam loves it…

Is she on Snapchat, ELLE asked? “No. I want to be. I don’t know how to use it. I feel like I’ll be an old lady that’s too held back, because I don’t keep up with it. I’m not on Pokémon Go. [This morning] Liam woke up and tried to go to the car wash because it was a—what do you call it?—PokéSpot. Like, “Got to go find them and catch them all! Ahh!”

I am glad that Miley is coming off of her Bangerz high (although that album was dope), I can’t wait to hear new music and see what this next era brings.
