‘Friday Night Lights’ Star Zach Gilford Is Running The LA Marathon To Raise Money For Planned Parenthood

Damn I am so sorry for the long title but I wanted to get it all out there.

Can you blame me? It is always incredible to see men standing up for women’s rights. For some reason people think that Planned Parenthood only does abortions and there is no other use for the government funded clinic. They also give out mammograms, they help with UTIs, they give out birth control, and the list goes on. Also to those who talk about how they don’t want their tax dollars going towards it, well cool, I don’t want my taxes to go to a fucking wall but here we are.

That’s a rant for a different day though.

Let’s talk about sweet baby angel Zach Gilford who played the lovable Matt Saracen on ‘Friday Night Lights’. He is out there doing the damn thing and standing up for what he believes is right.

His message is simple. “The fact that an organization such as Planned Parenthood, which does so much good for women’s health, has been caught in the cross hairs of a sexist government sickens me. This feels like one little thing I can do to support. Please join me.”

Happy 30th Birthday Michael B Jordan!

Today the wildly talented Michael B. Jordan turns 30 years old. Although he is probably now too old to be considered someone in young Hollywood, I do believe that we have just seen the tip of the iceberg with what this guy can do.

Michael got his first big break in the show ‘The Wire’ followed by playing Vince Carter on ‘Friday Night Lights. From there his career just kind of seemed to take off, he was in ‘Fruitvale Station’ which brought him to the attention of everyone, then starred alongside Zac Efron in ‘That Awkward Moment’ then of course ‘Creed’ happened. I think that movie was that one that made everyone notice him.

This year Michael is set to star in ‘Black Panther’ which is a Marvel movie, so you know it’s going to be huge. There are rumors about a ‘Creed 2’ coming out as well, which I am sure would be incredible.

Although he is 30 years old, which is young in real life but not Hollywood years, I genuinely believe that we are going to see Michael for a long time to come.

Fun fact, did you know that the B in his name stands for bae? Terrible joke but I won’t apologize for it.

Connie Britton Wishes Kyle Chandler A Happy Belated Birthday

‘Friday Night Lights‘ may have ended but the Taylors are still the greatest television couple of all time. Connie Britton made sure to wish Kyle Chandler a happy birthday and that is something that I can appreciate. Everyone should appreciate it!

Scott Porter & Minka Kelly Have ‘Friday Night Lights’ Reunion!

I know that everyone loved Lyla and Riggins but I always had a soft spot for Jason and Lyla. I loved the two of them together and I was so upset they never found their way back to one another. If you haven’t finished or even started ‘Friday Night Lights’, I guess I should have said spoiler alert?

Today Scott Porter posted a sweet photo of him and Minka Kelly, how adorable?

I love when casts stay friends even after the show has ended. The stars of ‘Friday Night Lights’ all seem to stay in touch which is absolutely adorable. Maybe one day we will get that movie that fans have wanted since the show ended.

Man Crush Monday: Matt Lauria

I have been a fan of Matt Lauria for man years now, from his time on ‘Friday Night Lights‘, to his time on ‘Parenthood’. In reality, Matt has been apart of two incredible shows and well now I found out he is apart of another incredible show. If you haven’t started to watch ‘Kingdom’ I would highly recommend that you start.

You see this three day weekend for me has been watching shows I have always wanted to watch but never got around to. ‘Kingdom’ got me hooked right away too. The cast in absolutely incredible. Joining Matt is, Nick Jonas, Frank Grillo, and Johnathan Tucker, a cast that is incredibly put together.

Of course Matt is my favorite on the show which is why he was able to get the coveted spot of Man Crush Monday. We all know my love for Nick but Matt’s acting ability on the show is absolutely incredible. It also took me a little bit to realize that it was Matt, his acting and physical appearance is so much different and more intense than what I was used to seeing him play.

Even when ‘Kingdom’ ends I do believe that Matt will have a long career ahead of him. He can play the tough guy, the vulnerable one, and everything in between. Those dimples and blue eyes help too.

Friday Night Lights’ Cast Members Connie Britton & Adrianne Palicki Reunite!

Clear eyes, full hearts, can’t lose.

Doesn’t that saying along give you chills? My lord ‘Friday Night Lights’ was truly one of the greatest shows of all time. The writing, the acting, even the way that it was filmed, it is absolutely incredible. A show that will carry on for generations, I am sure of that. With a little help from Netflix it is like the show has been brought back to life!

Looks like Tammy Taylor and Tyra are still buddies, it truly warms my heart. Their relationship on the show was one of my favorites, so I am glad that they were able to meet up during the SXSW festival!

Apparently Connie was asked if she would be involved if there was a movie and she said absolutely, so that gives us some hope!

I will leave it at that, and leave my absolute favorite monologue from the show that was written for Tyra.

“Two years ago, I was afraid of wanting anything. I figured wanting would lead to trying and trying would lead to failure. But now I find I can’t stop wanting. I want to fly somewhere on first class. Oh my god, my heart just exploded. Nothing like seeing the cast of one of the greatest shows ever together. Just Smash Williams, Jason Street, and Luke Cafferty hanging out with Jason’s baby.

Can this show have a reunion yet? It truly had one of the best finale episodes that I have ever seen but come on! It would be the most watched reunion ever! Yup, I said it!

Country Singer Chase Rice Posts Epic Photo With Minka Kelly

Look at the shirt that Chase is wearing and look at who he is standing next to. Listen if you don’t like ‘Friday Night Lights’ then you can get out of those blog post right now. FNL is one of the greatest shows of all time and you can’t argue with me there. The acting was always incredible, the storylines were usually great, the only one that was weird was season two but we can forgive them for that!

Anyway, this legendary picture was posted today but the incredibly hot Chase Rice with the caption “Texas Forever”, see even he knows how important this picture is. He is standing next to THE Lyla Garrity!

Chace, I am glad that I am a fan of yours, and now I am an even bigger fan. Really though, how beautiful is Minka Kelly? She is seriously perfection.

Man Crush Monday: Michael B. Jordan

Happy Monday! This weeks man crush Monday is well deserved, Michael B Jordan. You know MBJ, yeah thats what I want to call him, he has some big things going on. He stirred up the pot when he was cast as The Flame or Torch or something in Fantastic Four, people were going to riot in the fucking streets! Relax! Everything will be okay, I promise. Michael I absolutely incredible.

Whenever I think of this guy I think of a young Denzel, he has the looks and most importantly he is a great actor. He started off on Friday Night Lights and slowly transformed onto the big screen. Plus look at that smile, how can you not love that smile? I just want to hug him and other stuff too.

Suited up, shirtless, or anything in between, you look incredible. Thank you for letting us see all of those sides of you Michael, I appreciate it as do many other people.
