Big Sean Is Donating $10,000 To Flint, You Can Help Too!

I love seeing that more celebrities are starting to get involved to help the Flint water crisis! I would much rather focus on this than the Oscar issue because these celebrities are doing good! They deserve the praise.

Big Sean just joined Meek Mill, Cher, and Michael Moore when it comes to helping the people of Flint, Michigan.

Not only has Big Sean donated $10,000 to the children of Flint, he has also put up a Crowdrise page so anyone can donate. With a $10 donation you get put in the running to meet Big Sean at one of his shows! So that is pretty incredible.

Meek Mill Donates To Flint Water Crisis

Finally a story about Meek Mill doing something rather than being brought into social media fights or about him being with Nicki Minaj.

As many of you know there is a serious water crisis in Flint, Michigan and it has been happening for about two years now. People are being poisoned and for a long time the government just turned a blind eye. People had acted as though nothing was wrong while there are children dying due to the lead poisoning in the water. While Will Smith is crying about the Oscars there are certain stars actually upset over something that is actually effecting more than an already rich population.

Rapper Meek Mill joined Cher and a few other celebrities to start donating to the cause to help Flint. Meek donated $50,ooo to relief aid and also donated 60,000 bottles of water to the food bank of Eastern Michigan.

At least some celebrities care more about an award.

Cher Sends Thousands Of Water Bottles To Flint, Michigan

“This a tragedy of staggering proportion and shocking that it’s happening in the middle of our country. I am so grateful that Icelandic Glacial has come on-board to help the city of Flint. I cannot wait for the water to get there to help these people who have been poisoned because the water they’ve been getting out of their taps has been polluted for so long and remains that way without the state or the federal government stepping in with any substantial plan to resolve this problem.”

Say what you will about Cher but she just did something that the government has been ignoring since 2014. She decided that it was time to provide clean drinking water to the people of Flint, Michigan. Cher teamed up with a company named Icelandic Glacial to provide more than 180,000 bottles of clean water to the city’s residents.

Since 2014 cases of children with elevated levels of lead in their blood have been reported since the change, and cases of Legionnaires’ disease have also seen a spike. Many believe that the water is to blame for this happening.

On Saturday President Obama finally declared a state of emergency, only after Cher tweeted about it. Now did Cher influence the President? Maybe. Clearly this issue has been ignored for years then a super star gets involved and all of a sudden it is an issue.

Thank you for using your celebrity status for good Cher, the people of Flint will appreciate your kind actions, I am sure of it.
