Chester Bennington Commits Suicide At 41

Today we have lost an absolute legend, Chester Bennington, the man who put every single emotion into all of his songs. In case you aren’t familiar with Chester, he was the lead singer of Linkin Park.

Over the years Chester has talked about his battle with depression and addiction.

According to TMZ, Chester hung himself at his home while his family was out of town.

This news comes on what would have been Chris Cornell’s 53rd birthday, someone who Chester was extremely close with. Back in May, Chester actually performed at Chris’ memorial service.

The band was even set to start a tour with Machine Gun Kelly, of course there has been no word on what will happen there. I would guess they could cancel but we will see. The band has yet to put out an official statement.

Truthfully this is a celebrity death that kind of hits very close for me and probably many other people. One of the great things about Linkin Park was their ability to make you feel. That simple, Linkin Park’s music makes you feel something. Hybrid Theory and Meteora were two albums that I could listen to each and every song on, never get sick of it.

If you know someone who is struggling with depression or having suicidal thoughts, please reach out them, let them know you are there for them. If you yourself are having these thoughts please know that there is help out there, and people want to be there for you.

Chester leaves behind six children.

Grunge Legend Chris Cornell Dead At 52

Chris Cornell was found dead last night after his concert in Detroit.

So far all that is being said is that his death was unexpected.

Chris was one of the biggest grunge singers in the early 90’s performing with his band Soundgarden. He also performed with Audioslave after Soundgarden broke up.

Thank you for all of the great music you provided over the years Chris. You will be missed but at least your music will live on forever.

Aaron Hernandez Found Dead In Prison Cell

Today former New England Patriots player Aaron Hernandez was found dead in his prison cell due to an apparent suicide.

In case you didn’t know, Aaron had just been found not guilty of a double murder case and was in the process of appealing his guilty verdict in the 2013 murder of Odin Lloyd.

The Souza-Baranowski Correctional Center said in a statement “Mr. Hernandez hanged himself utilizing a bed sheet that he attached to his cell window, Mr. Hernandez also attempted to block his door from the inside by jamming the door with various items.”

Officials have said that there was no suicide note on the scene and his lawyers are all saying that their client would not have killed himself.

There is going to be a lot of talk about this today, Facebook lawyers are already posting their statuses about what they think of the whole situation.

At the end of the day, I am sorry for Aaron’s family especially his four year old daughter who never got to know her father due to his choices.

I give it two years until we see a movie written about this once NFL superstar turned convicted killer.

Backstreet Boys and *NSYNC Mastermind Lou Pearlman Dead at 62

Over the weekend Lou Pearlman was found dead in his cell at the Federal Correctional Institute in Tezarkana, Texas where he was serving a 25 year prison sentence for stealing over $300 million from different investors, and even some of his talent.

The Backstreet Boys were Lou’s first real taste of fame, and he stole millions from them. He put them together, claimed he was a sixth member and got paid like he was one of them. In case you didn’t know, that isn’t legal. You can’t be a member and also get paid as a manager, it’s the law. When the boys complained about being too tired to do certain things, after touring for nearly eight years in Europe before they made it big in America, Lou decided to form NSYNC, he literally made competition so the Backstreet Boys would continue to hustle hard and make money that he was taking at the end of the day.

So anyway, he stole a shit ton of money, he also created a ton of talent. Without Lou there is a good chance there wouldn’t have been that pop resurgence in America in the late 90’s. He not only found Backstreet Boys and NSYNC, he also found LFO, Aaron Carter, and O-Town as well.

Rolling Stone reported allegations about him molesting younger boys, some members of the bands listed, this is all allegedly though. Nothing has ever been confirmed. When his past caught up to him with his money scheme though, he went off to Bali but FBI agents found him and he was brought back to the United States to be tried.

Due to his checkered past it seems as though members of the bands have mixed emotions about his passing.

Rest In Peace Elie Wiesel

Elie Wiesel was best known for his novel ‘Night’, a haunting true story about his time in a concentration camp. A book that has resignated with people of all ages, races, and religious backgrounds. There are certain books that are never forgotten and ‘Night’ is absolutely one of those books. One that everyone should pick up and read at least once in their life.

Elie was not just a writer though, he was also a Nobel Peace Prize winner along with being an activist.

There is no doubt that Elie’s story will live on forever.

Elie was 87 years old when he passed away on July 12th, a man who lives a long, hard life, but never let the world make him hard.

There may be times when we are powerless to prevent injustice, but there must never be a time when we fail to protest.”

Muhammad Ali Dies At 74

Whether you are a sports fan or not, there is a good chance that you respect Muhammad Ali for his athleticism and well charisma.

Ali was known for his fancy foot work, quick hits, and his trash talk during his time as a boxers.

Let me just say one thing, he was not only one of the greatest boxers of all time but I will go out on a limb and say that he is one of the greatest athletes of all time. The first of his kind really. He will never be copied, a true original.

Rest in peace to ‘The Greatest of All Time’.

Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee.

He who is not courageous enough to take risks will accomplish nothing in life.

I know where I’m going and I know the truth, and I don’t have to be what you want me to be. I’m free to be what I want.

Legendary Singer Prince Dies At 57

There are some icons that are so well, iconic, that they only need to be called by one name. Prince is one of those icons, hell he even changed his name to a symbol at one point and people went with it. Prince is on the same level as Michael Jackson in my opinion, constantly changing his sound and reinventing himself.

A few days ago Prince announced he had some complications with the flu but there was nothing to be concerned about. According to TMZ, the legendary singer was found dead this morning in his Minnesota home.

Thank you for challenging social norms and just being yourself. You are truly an inspiration and will continue to inspire for decades to come.

You’ll be forever fabulous.
