Gene Wilder will always be remembered as a comedic legend. He was one of the absolute greats. There was never a bad thing written about Gene, and he was always so humble.

Gene passed away due to complications with the disease Alzheimer’s, which he kept very private. He leaves behind one daughter that he adopted in 1967, but the two had a falling out according to reports. In 1991 he married Karen Webb Boyer and they have been together, and were together until his passing.

“Come with me and you’ll be, in a world of pure imagination, take a look and you’ll see, into your imagination.”

Rest In Peace Elie Wiesel

Elie Wiesel was best known for his novel ‘Night’, a haunting true story about his time in a concentration camp. A book that has resignated with people of all ages, races, and religious backgrounds. There are certain books that are never forgotten and ‘Night’ is absolutely one of those books. One that everyone should pick up and read at least once in their life.

Elie was not just a writer though, he was also a Nobel Peace Prize winner along with being an activist.

There is no doubt that Elie’s story will live on forever.

Elie was 87 years old when he passed away on July 12th, a man who lives a long, hard life, but never let the world make him hard.

There may be times when we are powerless to prevent injustice, but there must never be a time when we fail to protest.”

It has been confirmed that Anton Yelchin has passed away due to a freak accident. According to TMZ, the actor was found pinned between his car and his mailbox, which was attached to a security gate on his property.

“It appears he had exited his car and was behind it when the vehicle rolled down a steep driveway,” the LAPD said in a statement which was released just a few hours ago.

Police reportedly told TMZ that the engine was still running when he was found, and that his car was in neutral. It’s not clear why he got out of his car with the engine running.

Anton was best known for his role in the ‘Star Trek’ franchise where he played the character Pavel Chekhov. He was also in movies like “Charlie Bartlett” and one of my all time favorite movies, “Like Crazy”, one I would highly recommend checking out. He was also in “Fright Night”, “House”, and offered his voice to both of the Smurfs movies.

At this time there hasn’t been any other information released, no reason why his car was running, why it was in neutral or why he was behind it. His family has asked for privacy at this time.

Anton was only 27, an absolute tragedy for sure, a talented actor taken far too soon.

Christina Grimmie Dies After Being Shot At Concert

Christina Grimmie was shot and killed at her concert on Friday night in Orlando. There are no words that I can put in this blog that will be able to explain the sadness that I, probably along with many others feel. Christina was first discovered on YouTube, then was able to get her chance to really shine on ‘The Voice’ where she placed third.

Right now I don’t want to get political but this is potentially a gun control issue. Another person with a mental disorder having a gun. No word on whether it was legal or not.

Christina was reportedly at her merch table, signing autographs, meeting with fans when someone went up to her, shot her, before he could harm any more people Christina’s brother jumped into action and tackled the man who ended up taking his own life.

Christina was only 22 years old. Think about that, 22 years old with the whole world at her fingertips. Her music career, her love for life, everything was taken away over someone deciding that this was the right thing to do.

Concerts are supposed to be a place for people to come together and enjoy the music being played. It doesn’t matter your race, age, sex, weight, nothing matters when you are at a concert. You’re there to enjoy the music and that is that. Music is supposed to bring people together and that is why I think it is important to play Christina’s music. Do not let her talent fade away due to a psychopath taking away her life.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Christina’s family, friends, and fans. From everything that I have seen from her tweets to her Facebook and everywhere in between she was someone who truly enjoyed life.

God bless.

Muhammad Ali Dies At 74

Whether you are a sports fan or not, there is a good chance that you respect Muhammad Ali for his athleticism and well charisma.

Ali was known for his fancy foot work, quick hits, and his trash talk during his time as a boxers.

Let me just say one thing, he was not only one of the greatest boxers of all time but I will go out on a limb and say that he is one of the greatest athletes of all time. The first of his kind really. He will never be copied, a true original.

Rest in peace to ‘The Greatest of All Time’.

Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee.

He who is not courageous enough to take risks will accomplish nothing in life.

I know where I’m going and I know the truth, and I don’t have to be what you want me to be. I’m free to be what I want.

Justin Timberlake Pens Emotional Tribute About Prince’s Passing

It was Raspberry Beret. I was 4 years old. Yes, 4. I remember that I instantly loved it. “Mommy, who is that singing?” Seems weird but it’s true.

More than a “once in a lifetime” artist… Just a ONCE IN FOREVER ARTIST. I’m still in shock as I write this and I feel this overwhelming grief. But, we should all turn away from that and HONOR this musician that changed all of our lives, our perspectives, our feeling, our whole being. From another planet? Probably. Royalty, for sure. Us worthy..? Laughable.

They say don’t meet your idols… That they let you down. But, some of my greatest, funniest (yes, he was hilarious), and most prolific encounters and conversations about music came from the moments that I spent with him. It would be silly to say that he has inspired our music… It’s beyond that.

He’s somewhere within every song I’ve ever written.

I am sad, but I will smile when I think of every second that I had the fortune of being in his company. We have lost our greatest living musician. But his music will never die.

Prince, NOTHING COMPARES…

‪#‎RIPPrince‬

Celebrities all over have been posting about Prince’s passing and I am sure that there will be many, many more tributes over the next few hours. Rightfully so, Prince did change a lot in the music world.

Thank you Justin for sharing your personal experience with Prince and there is nothing like a legend honoring another legend.

Legendary Singer Prince Dies At 57

There are some icons that are so well, iconic, that they only need to be called by one name. Prince is one of those icons, hell he even changed his name to a symbol at one point and people went with it. Prince is on the same level as Michael Jackson in my opinion, constantly changing his sound and reinventing himself.

A few days ago Prince announced he had some complications with the flu but there was nothing to be concerned about. According to TMZ, the legendary singer was found dead this morning in his Minnesota home.

Thank you for challenging social norms and just being yourself. You are truly an inspiration and will continue to inspire for decades to come.

You’ll be forever fabulous.

Rest In Peace Joanne “Chyna” Laurer

During my childhood, what was then known as the WWF, kind of took over my life. It was mostly because of my older bother but I can remember seeing Chyna on my television screen and realizing that maybe wrestling wasn’t just for boys. Chyna smashed gender roles and did so much for women in wrestling. In my opinion those diva girls on E! would be no where if Chyna hadn’t come around.

After she let the wrestling world most people are aware of her drug use, her time as a porn star, and as a reality star on VH1. It is unfortunate that drugs became her.

Chyna, you’ll always be known as the 9th wonder of the world, thank you for changing the wrestling world and I hope you have found peace.

Harper Lee, Author Of ‘To Kill A Mockingbird’Dies At 89

Today we say goodbye to one of the greatest writers in American history. Harper wrote ‘To Kill a Mockingbird’ in 1960 which she had great success with and released the sequel Go Set A Watchman was released in 2015.

To Kill a Mockingbird has sold over 30 million copies worldwide.

Harper Lee also received a Pulitzer Prize for her novel.

Most people are aware of how private she was, the other residents in the town of Monroeville, Alabama were also very protective of her. She rarely gave interviews and kept to herself.

She will be greatly missed.

Real courage is when you know you’re licked before you begin, but you begin anyway and see it through no matter what.
You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view.
The one thing that doesn’t abide by majority rule is a person’s conscience.
Until I feared I would lose it, I never loved to read. One does not love breathing.
I think there’s just one kind of folks. Folks.
