It was 20 years ago that Sarah Michelle Gellar became a household name and the female lead of ‘Buffy The Vampire Slayers’. A show that showed everyone that even a small blonde can kick some serious ass. We know that now but in the 90’s this was kind of unheard of. She wasn’t just the pretty girl with a nice smile that everyone was supposed to love, she was an absolute badass.

The show lasted for seven seasons but lived on through reruns and Netflix. It definitely has  a cult like following because it’s just that damn good.

Many of the stars got emotional on social media today, but I had to post Sarah Michelle’s because well, she’s Buffy.

Thank you for being such a great role model to so many young women growing up in the 90’s.

20 years ago today, I had the greatest privilege to bring Buffy to your tv screens for the first time. It was a long and challenging road to get there. First the movie, then a passed over pilot presentation, and eventually a mid season time slot on a little known network. That first season, we liked to think of ourselves as the little show that could. While we knew the potential, I don’t think any of us saw the lasting impact our show would have. As an actor, you wish for that one role where you can leave your mark and forever be remembered, with Buffy I got so much more. She’s a feminist challenge to gender hierarchy. Buffy may have been the Chosen One, but I was the lucky one. Thank you to Gail Berman for always believing there was a show in that movie. Thank you to Joss Whedon, for trusting me to give life to one of the greatest female characters ever created. Thank you to David, for always being my Angel. Thank you to James for understanding that while Buffy and Spike may have been love/hate, I have nothing but love for you. Alyson, as any woman knows, you are nothing without the love and support of great female friends, so thank you for being that. Michelle, you will always hold a key to my heart. Thank you to all the incredible actors for seven seasons of amazing performances. I would be remiss if I didn't mention the incredible crew that worked tirelessly (and also really tired) to bring this show to life. And lastly, but most importantly thank you to all of you, the fans. We made this show for you, and your unwavering support has kept this show going long past our seven years. You are everything. And always remember…"if the apocalypse comes, beep me" #buffyslays20

Sarah Michelle Gellar And Freddie Prinze Jr. Celebrate 13th Anniversary With Throwback Pic

13 years…Happy Anniversary!
“I love you not only for what you are, but for what I am when I am with you. I love you not only for what you have made of yourself, but for what you are making of me.”

This couple is the best couple in Hollywood, now that I said that I am afraid that they will be breaking up, but I hope not! After a long summer of some serious celebrity break ups seeing a post like this is refreshing. Thanks Buffy, you knew I needed some cheering up after all of these heartbreaks.

This couple is seriously the sweetest couple out there though. For those of you who don’t know they met on the set of “I Know What You Did Last Summer” and then began dating three years later. Of course the couple ended up tying the knot in 2002 during a hurricane in Mexico I believe it was.

In an interview in 2002 Sarah Michelle told People magazine “We had made plans for dinner with a mutual friend and the person canceled,We decided to have dinner anyway and never looked back.” How sweet is that?

Freddie and Sarah Michelle, that is some real love right there. Freddie, who was one of the biggest heartthrobs of the late 90’s and early 2000’s, also decided to take a step back from the Hollywood life. He decided to be the stay at home dad while Sarah went out there to act. How adorable is that?

Happy 13th anniversary!

Here are some cute pictures of the couple just for the hell of it!
