Mark Ronson & Bruno Mars’ Smash Hit ‘Uptown Funk’ Is Officially Diamond!

Uptown funk you up, uptown funk you up! Honestly, this song is probably one of my all time favorite songs, I am not going to even apologize. When that song comes on you have to dance, you have to sing along, that’s all that I can say!

I am pretty sure that most things that Bruno Mars touches will turn to diamond. His voice is just absolutely insane, he is just so freaking talented. Mark Ronson is a super producer too, so the two of them together? Of course it went diamond!

Congrats to both Mark and Bruno, thank you for giving us the best song of 2015 that I still love and will continue to dance to.

All y’all make a dragon want to retire man!

Bruno Mars Releases Funky New Track “24k Magic”!

So the reviews for “24K Magic” are absolutely split between people loving it or people hating it. There are few people who simply think it is an alright song, it is one extreme or another. Where do I stand on it? I fucking love this song. Bruno has always been a breath of fresh air in my opinion and he did it with this song.

Bruno has been trying to bring back funk, and guess what? He decided to go all in with this song and I am not mad about it. Do I think this is his best song? No. Do I think it is better than most things on the radio right now? Yes. Absolutely it is.

There is no denying the talent that Bruno has and I hope that his whole album is different and funky.

Bring back the funk!!

Bruno Mars Announces New Single ’24k Magic’ Will Be Released Friday!

bmbig

Bruno baby it has been a long four years! Yes, of course he had the smash hit ‘Uptown Funk’ but Bruno hasn’t had an album in four years, if you can believe that. Four years and he still was able to appear on the Super Bowl last year and it wasn’t weird because he is just that relevant.

There has been so much great new music released lately, but I am most excited for new Bruno!

Are you all ready? Let me know on Facebook or Twitter, click the links below!

Man Crush Monday: Bruno Mars

There is something about Bruno Mars that I just can’t get enough of. Number one he is insanely talented, he can sing, dance, write music, and play multiple instruments, that is pretty awesome. He is also tiny, and adorable. How can you not love a little pocket sized entertainer.

Last night he stole the show at the Super Bowl for me. Everyone was about Beyonce I was all about my man Bruno. He went up there dressed like Run DMC, maybe some Backstreet Boy vibes too, and he slayed it. I didn’t realize how good of a dancer he was until last night.

In my opinion he is one of the few true entertainers left out there. I mean a lot of people can sing, a lot of people can dance, but not many people can mix it all up while singing live. Justin Timberlake is the number one entertainer of our generation, I am sure of that but Bruno is a close second, for males at least.

58th GRAMMY Award Nominations Have Been Revealed!

grammy noms 640

Can you smell it? It smells like awards season is in the air and I couldn’t be happier about it! I thrive during award season! There is nothing like watching all of these celebrities pretend to smile when they lose awards, that is the best. I love when they stand up and actually cheer for the other person too!

The GRAMMYS are one of the best shows of the year, sometimes. It is the party before the Oscars because those are so boring, when it happens check your Facebook newsfeeds and everyone will talk about how boring it is. Then you have to let them know it has always been boring.

I have done this the past two years so here come my GRAMMY preditions! Fun fact, I am awful at this. For someone who follows entertianment the way that I do you would think I would be better, but I am just not.

Now you have to remember there are always dark horses because people who win at voted by the academy of music or something like that. It isn’t about record sales, remember that Kanye so you don’t rush the stage again.

So here we go, the bold is who I think should win and italics is who will probably win. I know technically that is two predictions but I don’t care!

Also before anyone freaks out about Adele not being nominated, she didn’t make the September 30th deadline. She will be nominated in 2017, I promise.

Album Of The Year:

Sound & Color — Alabama Shakes

To Pimp A Butterfly — Kendrick Lamar

Traveller — Chris Stapleton

1989 — Taylor Swift

Beauty Behind The Madness — The Weeknd

Now listen, I wasnt a bit fan of this album but it is truly an incredible feat for Taylor. She made the complete transformation from country to pop artist so effortlessly and I think that she truly deserves this win.

Record Of The Year:

“Really Love” — D’Angelo And The Vanguard

“Uptown Funk” — Mark Ronson Featuring Bruno Mars

“Thinking Out Loud” — Ed Sheeran

“Blank Space” — Taylor Swift

“Can’t Feel My Face” — The Weeknd

Although I think that Bruno Mars desrves this win I genuinely believe that Ed Sheeran will win. Bruno of course is doing something different though, he and Mark Ronson put out one of the hottest songs of the year. The throwback to funk music was incredible, people don’t usually do things like that anymore. They like to stay in their box. Ed’s song was so beautiful though, I mean I feel like it has to win.

Song Of The Year:

“Alright” — Kendrick Duckworth, Mark Anthony Spears & Pharrell Williams, songwriters (Kendrick Lamar)

“Blank Space” — Max Martin, Shellback & Taylor Swift, songwriters (Taylor Swift)

“Girl Crush” — Hillary Lindsey, Lori McKenna & Liz Rose, songwriters (Little Big Town)

“See You Again” — Andrew Cedar, Justin Franks, Charles Puth & Cameron Thomaz, songwriters (Wiz Khalifa Featuring Charlie Puth)

“Thinking Out Loud” — Ed Sheeran & Amy Wadge, songwriters (Ed Sheeran)

Kendrick has always been a favorite at the GRAMMYS and I genuinely believe that he will win this category. The song “Alright” is easily one of the most powerful songs of the year. Again this is how it is written, this is the award for the song writers. Kendrick deserves this award due to his social realism and his incredible lyrics.

Best New Artist:

Courtney Barnett

James Bay

Sam Hunt

Tori Kelly

Meghan Trainor

I am ahuge Tori Kelly fan and I think that she absolutely deserves this award. She is an incredible songwriter, singer, and performer. I swear when she performs she demands attention and she gets your attention. I mean she stole the VMAs with her performance. The people who win this award are always obscure though, that is why I am guessing James Bay will win.

Best Pop Duo/Group Performance:

“Ship To Wreck” — Florence + The Machine

“Sugar” — Maroon 5

“Uptown Funk” — Mark Ronson Featuring Bruno Mars

“Bad Blood” — Taylor Swift Featuring Kendrick Lamar

“See You Again” — Wiz Khalifa Featuring Charlie Puth

Honestly, as long as Maroon 5 doesn’t win I will be happy. I would love to see Mark and Bruno pull out the win but I think that we will see Wiz and Charlie up there accepting the award.

Best Dance Recording:

“We’re All We Need” — Above & Beyond Featuring Zoë Johnston

“Go” — The Chemical Brothers

“Never Catch Me” — Flying Lotus Featuring Kendrick Lamar

“Runaway (U & I)” — Galantis

“Where Are Ü Now” — Skrillex And Diplo With Justin Bieber

I don’t want Bieber to win but then again I am not sure if Kendrick will be able to take this home. The other songs I am not even sure of. So honestly, anyone could win this and I probably wouldn’t care.

Best Rock Performance:

“Don’t Wanna Fight” — Alabama Shakes

“What Kind Of Man” — Florence + The Machine

“Something From Nothing” — Foo Fighters

“Ex’s & Oh’s” — Elle King

“Moaning Lisa Smile” — Wolf Alice

Critics love Alabama Shakes, which is why I would assume that they are going to win. Florance is an incredible singer though so I hope that she can pull out a win. Like I said before though, critics love Alabama Shakes.

Best Alternative Music Album:

Sound & Color — Alabama Shakes

Vulnicura — Björk

The Waterfall — My Morning Jacket

Currents — Tame Impala

Star Wars — Wilco

Alabama Shakes again, I dont really know the other artists. My Morning Jacket is great but again, I can’t see them beating Alabama Shakes.

Best Urban Contemporary Album:

Ego Death — The Internet

You Should Be Here — Kehlani

Blood — Lianne La Havas

Wildheart  — Miguel

Beauty Behind The Madness — The Weeknd

Although I woud love to see The Weeknd win big here, I think that Miguel will take it. His music is so good, his lyrics are so smooth, and I think that he has what it takes. Hopefully he doesn’t jump over the stage and nearly decapitate a girl when he wins though.

Best Rap Album:

2014 Forest Hills Drive — J. Cole

Compton — Dr. Dre

If Youre Reading This Its Too Late — Drake

To Pimp A Butterfly — Kendrick Lamar

The Pinkprint — Nicki Minaj

If J. Cole doesn’t win I am going to riot, that is all that there is to know. J. Cole is one of the most gifted artists of our time. If he doesn’t win I will write a strongly worded blog directed to the GRAMMYS!

Best Country Album:

Montevallo — Sam Hunt

Pain Killer — Little Big Town

The Blade — Ashley Monroe

Pageant Material — Kacey Musgraves

Traveller — Chris Stapleton

Although I think that it has been Sam Hunt’s year the music industry is really pushing Chris Stapleton down our throats. Don’t get me wrong I think he is incredible! I think that he is great and honestly when it come sto music he is potentially a step ahead of Sam Hunt. I know I said before that this awards show isn’t based on fan popularity which is why I am saying that Chris is going to take it home.

So those are the predictions that I have come up with! Yes there are more categories than the ones that I posted but I didn’t know any of the artists!

Let me know what you guys think here!

Top 12 sexiest men alive review

Image

Now I know that this a few days old and whatever but I have been sitting here pouting about the fact that Charlie Hunnam or Chris Hemsworth didn’t win. I mean seriously, what in the fuck are people are People’s Magazine thinking? Why not leave this up to the people?! Leave the sexiest man alive up to the fucking women of this world! Women power! Adam Levine is a weaselly looking cocky mother fucker with a high voice. Sorry, was that too harsh? Not only is this a fucked up first choice the top 15 or whatever was pretty bad too, although there were a few good ones. It was mostly bad.

2. Idris Elba- I believe a few days ago I said he should have been on the cover or one of the runner ups, so I was correct. Something about that man that is just sexy as hell.

3, Luke Bryan- I did not see that dark horse coming but alright, I see you. I guess I don’t find him all that sexy but he has really nice arms. I can see why he would make it to the top 10.

4- Jimmy Fallon- What in the actual fuck is going on here? Do people actually think that Jimmy Fallon is sexy? He is like one of your little brother’s friend that would talk really loud in the house to get attention. We get it Jimmy we can do impressions congrats, on to the next!

5- Bruno Mars- Bruno has an incredible voice but he is not sexy. He is about 5 foot nothing and probably can’t even ride most rides at an amusement park without an adult. Yes, super talented. Not super sexy.

6- Johnathan & Drew Scott- I dont even know who the fuck these twins are but apparently they count as one person. After reading their tiny bullshit description I still don’t know who they are. Get these assholes out of here!

7- Justin Timberlake- After having an incredible year he should have been number one. Believe it or not I am not even attracted to him but I still think that he deserved the top spot. Fuck you People Magazine, Fuck you.

8- Chris Pine- Something about this mother fucker always bothered me and I don’t know what it is. Maybe it is his weird pouty lips or his voice. Since Just My Luck I just haven’t been interested in him at all. Chris Pine seems like the kid that was really weird and smart in high school then graduated and got semi good looking and now it is all that he lives for. “Hey I used to be weird but look at me now” type deal, fuck that noise.

9- Pharrell Williams- Yeah alright, that timeless face will do. Black don’t crack and he is the prime example of that.

10- Ronan Farrow- Yet another nobody on this list, People magazine dropping the ball all over the place. This is apparently Mia Farrow’s kid and his dad might be Frank Sinatra or something, if it is Frankie. Sorry you never met your dad Ronan.

11- Justin Theoroux- Random and not worthy of being so high on the list but he is hot. He can also break dance which makes him hotter and he got my girl Jen Aniston so I can respect that. Just random.

12- David Backham- Look they got another one right, good job! David Beckham will always be one of the sexiest men ever. The end.

Seriously though, where is Charlie Hunnam, Chris Hemsworth, and Chris Evans right now? This is the most jacked up top 12 I have ever seen in my life.
