17 Years Ago ‘I Want It That Way’ Came Out

I think that everyone can agree that ‘I Want It That Way’ changed the way that we listen to pop music. It is by far one of the biggest pop songs of all time. The Backstreet Boys made history with that song. I mean, let’s be real, that song alone makes them better than NSYNC. Yeah I said it!

Anyway, I have to say it is scary to think that seniors in high school at the same age as this song but I will get over it. Thank you Backstreet Boys for cranking out hit after hit for so long. I am glad that I grew up during the prime of pop music.

The Official Trailer For Nick Carter’s Boy Band Zombie Movie Is Finally Here

Dead 7 premieres on Syfy Friday, April 1 ,at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

We are very aware that we not worthy of a movie like this. Backstreet Boys members and NSYNC members teaming up to save the world from a zombie apocalypse? I mean, how did we get so lucky with this?

Thank God for Buzzfeed having this exclusive because I just couldn’t wait any longer. Not only will the legendary Joey Fatone star in this but members of the highly underrated O-Town and 98 Degrees will be involved to. This will be cinematic history, I think we are all aware of that, right?

Syfy will be playing this on April 1st, at 8 pm and you better believe that I will be watching it. I can only hope that they break out into song and dance multiple times during this movie.

Are you as excited as I am?

Are The Backstreet Boys Next For A Vegas Residency?

poster5

ET caught up with A.J. McLean at The Brothers Grimsby premiere in Los Angeles on Thursday, when the 38-year-old singer said the boy band is definitely interested in a Las Vegas residency a la Britney Spears and Jennifer Lopez.

“We are talking about it. We are looking into it right now and we’ll see,” McLean exclusively told ET. “We’ll see what happens! Right now, we’re actually back in the studio making our ninth album. If anything transpires it’ll probably come after our brand new tour, and I’m doing my very first solo project. There’s a lot of things going on this year.” (credit)

I am both excited and not very excited to hear about this potential for a residency. Most people who has residencies no longer go on tour. I mean Celine hasn’t been on a tour in forever which is a shame because I would drop Adele tickets type money on a Celine Dion show.

Back to the subject though!

I have been to eight Backstreet Boys concerts that have all been within driving distance. The last thing I would want to do is spend an arm and a leg to go see their Vegas show. Although they would probably make a killing off of it. Let’s be real, everyone loves to be nostalgic and with the success of Britney’s show, I don’t think they would have any issue selling out show after show.

Luckily for all of us that can’t afford to fly to Vegas it doesn’t look like this residency would be the too near future. They are working on new music, will go on another tour. So don’t worry, we have time to save up for a Vegas weekend. I don’t know who we is, but I am going to assume it will be a we type of thing because I would die if I went to Vegas alone.

One thing is for sure, as long as there is music Backstreet Boys will be coming back again!

Britney Spears Hangs Out With Aj McLean From The Backstreet Boys

Huge confession… biggest Backstreet Boys fan! Tonight was truly a dream for me.
Well did you know that Britney was one of the biggest Backstreet Boys fans? Neither did I! Considering she dated Justin Timberlake back in the day, this is obviously shade, right? That was a joke everyone, calm down. I highly doubt Britney is trying to bring back a 90’s boyband feud.
On February 27th Britney brought out AJ for her song ‘Freakshow’ where she has been known to bring out different celebrities and have them walk on a leash as she sings. I feel like this must have been a hell of a show to go to, just a complete 90’s whirlwind of emotions!
Check it out below!

And here is Britney freaking out over it.

The Backstreet Boys Join Gigi Hadid On Lipsync Battle!

I like Gigi Hadid, I like her a lot. She seems like a really cool chick. It probably helps that I am not attracted to Zayn Malik at all, so I am not jealous of her by any means in her personal life. This though? Yeah, I am pretty jealous. This would be my dream come true.

It has been long documented how much I love the Backstreet Boys, I think that anyone who has followed my blog for even a month can see how much I love them.

Anyway, I think we can all agree that Gigi was the hands down winner of this showdown. You can’t bring out the Backstreet Boys and lose, it is impossible.

Watch Nick Carter Pay Tribute To The Backstreet Boys On Dancing With The Stars!

Sharna Burgess Nick Carter, Dancing with the Stars

So much good Backstreet Boys news today! I mean between Nick Carter paying tribute to the band last night and Aj releasing a solo song it’s been a great day! An absolutely perfect day for a life long Backstreet Boy fan.

Alright, time to get out of my little haze of happiness and report for you good people!

I mean I don’t even think it is fair that Nick dances to a BSB song because how can anyone top that? Just kidding, Bindi Irwin did but that is neither here nor there! Nick Carter is bringing back the Backstreet Boys in a big way I can’t wait! Maybe they can make a huge comeback and then I won’t be the only one to really appreciate the music of the Gods.

I love the opening too. If you watched the Backstreet Boys documentary, which I truly reccommend, you know that Nick’s life wasn’t that perfect. Well until he joined the most successful boyband of all time. Still though, he gets all emotional and it is adorable.

Check it out below!

Also look who was there to support Nick in the crowd last night.

What a weird time to be alive. Just O-Town, Jeff Timmons from 98 Degrees, Joey Fatone of *NSYNC, and my boy AJ from BSB hanging out supporting Nick Carter. I love it.

Backstreet Boys’ AJ McLean Releases Solo Song “Live Together”!

Embedded image permalink

Alright, if you have followed my blog at all you know how much I love the Backstreet Boys and how they can do no wrong. I am serious. I have bought every single album and I have seen them live 8 times. If you ever want to talk about the Backstreet Boys tweet me @willikilliams.

Anyway back on the subject! The resident former badboy turned adorable father AJ McLean released a solo song called “Live Together” and I am a fan. I like it. I like it a lot. Let’s be real AJ’s voice is insanely good and I love the message of the song and video.

I love this song, I think that AJ is incredible. Truthfully anything that any members of the Backstreet Boys do, I will support. I mean a bought a Christian record for Brian, so clearly I will do just about anything for them.

Zayn Malik Leaves One Direction Tour!

Zayn Malik is leaving this leg of the One Direction tour, their PR announced on Twitter.

“1D statement: Zayn has been signed off with stress and is flying back to the UK to recuperate. The band wish him well and will continue with their performances in Manila and Jakarta.” Simon Jonesposted on Twitter just moments ago.

News of his break comes just after Zayn defended himself on Twitter and denied cheating on his fiancee Perrie Edwards.

We wish Zayn the best and hope he feels better soon (Credit:http://www.justjared.com/tags/zayn-malik/)

Hm, why does this sound so familiar? Oh right, because AJ McLean did this back in 2001 but he admitted to it being drug related, not stress related. I think that we can all assume that this stress could be the cause of drug use, alcohol, or just because he got accused for cheating. Let’s be real, Zayn always seems miserable. He is super attractive but on stage he just stands there and sings, doesn’t dance around or anything.

So for right now it looks like he is just missing two shows, but what happens when the band comes to America? That is the real question. Zayn has to be apart of that right? They have already sold out pretty huge stadiums, so it is something that just needs to be done. Zayn must be there.

So to all you Directioners, I know this may seem like the end for Zayn but I wouldn’t worry. Actually I would because I don’t see One Direction lasting for more than one more album. Just know that the older generation dealt with this with AJ, so it will all be okay. He will most likely be back for the American half of the tour because he would lose out on a shit ton of money if he didn’t.

Really though, Zayn hope you get the help you need, if you in fact need help.

ps- Liam is still hotter.

Movie Review: Show ‘Em What You’re Made Of, The Backstreet Boys Documentary

So I will be first to say when it comes to this subject I am extremely bias. I love the Backstreet boys and I have since I was about five years of age. Since then they just bring back a feeling of nostalgia and happiness that I can’t explain. I have seen them eight times in concert, I have met them once, I guess you could call me a mega fan, fan girl, whatever. Below there are some spoilers in the documentary, things that I wasn’t aware of so if you don’t want them ruined, don’t scroll!

The moment that I got the notification that this documentary was downloading onto my Itunes I started to watch it, I didn’t even wait for it to fully load. That is how excited I have been for this to come out. They had talked about it for so long and the date kept getting pushed back, but right when it was released, I watched it! Truthfully I expected something about their rise to fame, I didn’t expect them to be so raw and real, but that was exactly what it was.

As the film starts they go and visit Kevin’s hometown and then Brian’s hometown since they didn’t live far from each other. Even though they have been a band for the past twenty years they had never done this, so why not do it in front of the cameras. It is really interesting to see the boys, well men now I guess, and how they act when they aren’t on stage. Sure they may have been putting on a bit since there was a camera but the emotions seemed so raw and real. When Kevin talks about his father passing away and he breaks down, when Brian explains that he has vocal problems he breaks down. Truthfully there was a lot more crying in the movie than I expected.

There are a few pivotal moments in this movie that I didn’t know happened.

-Howie D was the original lead singer when the band first started, but after Max Martin got a hold of them, it became Brian, Nick, and AJ. Howie only agreed to this final album if he could have more singing than the last albums.

-Nick holds animosity towards Brian because Brian has been the lead singer. There is a huge fight between the two of them, I highly recommend you at least watch that part.

-Brian has vocal chord issues and there is really no cure, his voice comes and goes. This is another big thing that the documentary follows during the hour and a half it runs.

-AJ opens up about his addiction and how he was behaving during the Black and Blue tour.

– Lou Pearlman stole a TON of money from them.

It was honestly a movie that made me love the group even more. As I previously stated the raw emotions that are shown through out the movie are incredible. Watching this band go from basically on top of the world, to not even having a record deal was very interesting. See I knew that they had been dropped but I didn’t realize this last album was basically done being an independent band.

I would rate this movie a five out of five. Being a fan of theirs I am proud that they let their fans get a glimpse into their come up and even their falls after the 2000’s.
