Music Monday: Ice Ice Baby (Cover) – Marty Ray Project

Apparently this cover has been floating around social media for a while now but I just came across it and I thought it was fate. Great music for Music Monday, right?

Not only is this song a classic, whether you love it or hate it, it is a classic song. This cover though, it doesn’t even sound like a corny rap song. The way that Marty Ray’s voice goes along with the beat, my lord! It is perfect.

After checking out his other videos I have decided that he needs to be on the radio stat!

Check it out!

And again if you have anyone you’d like to nominate for Music Monday, let me know on Facebook or Twitter!

Music Monday: ‘As Long As You Love Me (Cover)’ Sleeping At Last

So if you have followed my blog at all, you know that I love The Backstreet Boys and not in that 90’s kid nostalgia way. I actually really love their music and all of that stuff. I am a fan. Usually I am not a fan of covers either, until I heard Sleeping At Last‘s cover of their hit song ‘As Long As You Love Me’. The cover was featured on ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ and oh my god, I didn’t know how emotional I could possibly get. Well put Shonda Rhimes in charge of anything and I will cry.

Honestly I am glad that I found Sleeping At Last because his music is absolutely incredible. Other than the cover he still has so many other songs that are incredible. I highly recommend checking it out because this guy has serious talent.

Music Monday: Rumors – Jake Miller

Dear everyone stop what you are doing and check out Jake Miller because he is so impressive. He can sing, he can rap, and he is so damn good looking! I mean he has a sound that is similar to Hoodie Allen or even G-Eazy but he is still so original. I am absolutely in love with his sound.

Here’s to hoping that he has a big year in 2016 and everyone can enjoy his incredible sound!

Music Monday: ‘Red Line Love’ Jenna Lotti

Jenna Lotti

Have you ever heard a voice that is so beautiful it is almost haunting? My lord that is how I felt when I first heard Jenna Lotti‘s voice. Her voice is so original and incredible, I genuinely got chills when I heard it.

Now I have a feeling that eventually we have to hear more from Jenna Lotti, she is absolutely incredible. Apparently she writes her own music too so that is pretty amazing, right? Anyone who can sing and write their own music. I automatically have respect for them.

I posted her video for ‘Red Line Love’ because again it is haunting. The song is so incredible I don’t know how she hasn’t blown up yet. When she does though, remember you heard it here first!

If you know anyone who should be my next #MusicMonday let me know on Twitter or on Facebook.

I had to post ‘Medicine’ too. I think we can all relate to it in some way, the lyrics are beautifully written.

Music Monday: ‘Don’t Go City On Me’ Kane Brown

Just a little disclaimer before I get into this post, if you know any upcoming artists please have them contact me here! I would love for Music Monday to take off!

Now that I got that off of my chest, let’s talk about Kane Brown. My lord this boy has a serious voice. A voice that I could listen to all damn day and never get sick of it. Kane is the real deal, I think that anyone who has heard his lyrics would agree too.

Right now he is starting to blow up a bit due to the song ‘Used To Love You Sober’ and when listening to the lyrics, you can relate to it. Kane is an incredible writer, having that voice just helps. I really can’t say enough good things about this incredibly talented young singer who will soon enough be at the top of the country charts. I posted my favorite song of his, ‘Don’t Go City On Me’, it is so charming and amazing.

I highly recommend you follow him on twitter @KaneBrown and check out his music! He is going to be someone you will want to tell all your friends about so they will thank you for introducing them to his incredible music!

Music Monday: ‘Break On Me’ Cover By Zach Steinbach & Kacey Renee

So after listening to this cover I decided to dedicate a whole day to new artists with #MusicMonday on Celebrities Are Tragic, so if you know any local bands, singers, DJs, send them there and let me hear them!

Honestly, this cover is probably one of my favorite covers I have heard in a long time. It is so simple yet so rich with emotion. The harmony between Zach and Kacey is absolutely incredible. Their voices blend so perfectly together and having just an acoustic guitar is a nice touch. Nothing more romantic than someone strumming a guitar with no other instruments needed. Then their little conversation at the end, adorable.

Truthfully I believe that both Zach and Kacey have a real shot when it comes to music. Nothing like having actual talent to make people appreciate music. That kind of raw talent that is missing in a lot of newer music.

So listen to the cover, tell me what you think in the hyperlink above linking you to my Facebook! As far as these two talented singers all of their information is below. Follow them on Twitter, like their Facebook pages, and check out their music pages then you can say that you knew them when, because let’s be real they will inevitably be superstars.
