In a statement exclusively released to Variety, it is official that Sir Daniel Day-Lewis’ next movie will be his final movie.
Daniel is absolutely one of the best actors of his generation, I don’t think there is anyone would even try to fight that fact. He has been able to play presidents, gang leaders, and he played John Proctor.
He has three Oscars under his belt along with two other nominations, seriously, everything he touches turns into an award nominated movie.
In a statement, Day-Lewis’ spokeswoman, Leslee Dart, confirmed the news: “Daniel Day-Lewis will no longer be working as an actor. He is immensely grateful to all of his collaborators and audiences over the many years. This is a private decision and neither he nor his representatives will make any further comment on this subject. ” (credit)
Although his rep gave no specific reason, I hope that all is well with him.
Thank you for giving us incredible performances in every movie you’ve been a part of.
