So yesterday the nominations for MTV Video Music Awards came out and Nicki Minaj was not having it. She went on a rant about how if she looked a certain way she would be the one who got video of the year, and so on and so forth. Then she kind of called out Taylor Swift, but not directly. T.Swift wasn’t having it though, here are the tweets between the two of them.
So basically this goes from Nicki Minaj calling out Taylor Swift, then saying she wasn’t calling out Taylor Swift. Then it becomes some race debate, which the internet shut down quick since artists like Beyonce, Kendrick Lemar, and Bruno Mars were all nominated as well, then finally it became about Tidal. I don’t understand why she would bring up Tidal since both Jack White and Jason Aldean, along with Madonna were all involved in signing the weird Illuminati thing that was presented to the world.
Nicki ‘Anaconda’ wasn’t that good of a song, the video was just you shaking your ass. I am also surprised she is so angry about the VMA nominations, like it is only MTV. If it was the Grammy’s I would understand your anger but the VMA’s, really?
For the record the ‘Bad Blood’ video is absolutely better than the ‘Anaconda’ video, ‘Bad Blood’ was nominated for video of the year. Then for female video of the year again ‘Blank Space’ is way better than the ‘Anaconda’ video.

I think Taylor is a very sensitive person and felt called out. I don’t understand the media calling this a fricken feud. Nicki and Taylor seem cool with one another and the media is trying to make some dramatic story out of nothing. I’m sure it’s hard being a celebrity, tuning out every single thing that people think of you – especially when people like that go out of their way to say it – so I’m sure it’s just a matter of reinforcing their self-confidence from an ego blow. I feel for Nicki, but at the same time, you gotta learn to cut your losses and come back harder on the next one.
